Guilty! But i'm all about the stats at every month 🤪. I always go on a run on the first january, and this year i decided to look out for a challence, so guilty again. I'm doing the 1Mile a Day Challenge for January. Just playing around a bit, before starting a new Training-Plan 😊

Some variants for us down under: the "Australian": -I'm finally in charge of getting up at 4am for a run because if I leave any later than 7 it'll be 30+ outside -I forgot to go out early but I need to get one in before ten so I left and it's 37 degrees outside and I regret everything (that was me today: it's not meant to go below 30 until... 10pm tonight). - In both cases, there is sunscreen everywhere and you are packed with lots of water! Definitely looking forward to winter!

I’m a bit of a Winter Safety runner combined with Overdressed. Spiked running shoes and neon pink reflective gear are a must, and I never seem to learn that running really warms you up so I always have too many layers on!

You forgot "no gear and no idea". My first ever run was in a cotton Tshirt, cargo shorts and crappy old trainers i found in my wardrobe. Needless to say there was chafing and lots of visible sweat patches. Also there is the opposite of winter safety runner, the "invisible runner" who runs in the dark wearing all black with no lights or reflective gear!

If i had announced my intentions last year rather than sneaking out in secret, i think anyone that knew me would have said the one run wonder! But i had a sudden wake up call a few days before that made me realise how unfit i was which made me pretty determined to keep going. Ended the year having done over 200 runs and over 750 miles and more than 2.5 stone lighter.

I'm definitely the winter safety runner. Ice scares the crap out of me, and I bring a vest with safety gear year round on the trails. 😆 I really wish I lived in an area with park runs, they sound like such a great addition for the community. I'll just have to join a run club to get a little camaraderie and competition.

I was definitely the one(ish) run last winter as I did not enjoy freezing my bum off in the cold temps. This morning, however, I just ran my longest race yet (1/4 marathon) and it was 14°F (-10°C) in the sun!! I am guilty of signing up for multiple races (just started seriously running this summer); so a little variation on the goals runner 😊

I was family runner for 3 months. I Made my brother to run with me for the summer .first weeks was brutal. It took more time to mave him out of the house than actual running. There were always excuses " too hot, too early , too late, I'm tired and so on " . But after few days he liked it and joined for the runs until Autumn. Then he quieted completely. But I'm persistent as soon as it get warm enough to run outside I will made him to run again.

Here's another one: the January event runner. We sign up for a half marathon, marathon, or Dopey challenge (46 miles in Walt Disney World) held January so we are training during the holiday season and avoid the weight gain. Which means we can be one of those Christmas runner stereotypes too 😉

I’m definitely a safety runner! 😂 I always have my safety vest on or my noxgear vest! I even carry an extra flashlight when it’s dark and a few bandages! 😂 BUT I’d rather be seen then getting hit! (Don’t always have sidewalks by me!) Fun video!
@kperttul2 жыл бұрын
I'm proud to be #8 "The Winter Safety": As there is only couple of hours daylight it's essential to be seen and not hit by a car. Fluorescent wests are for life (literally 🤣) Also spike shoes give so much boost on the soft surface that I wouldn't mind to use them in summer too. One can avoid #6 "The One Run Wonder" by allowing yourself to walk, many times people think that when going for a "run" you have to run the whole yard, when the real purpose is to get fresh air and get your self moving. Who cares if you decide to kangaroo skip the whole way as long as you are happy to exercise ❤
