Been a Scot living south of the border since the 80s - 'Dust' means so much to me and others like me - shame the band don't play it more often on tour now

Loved it! I am English, but have loved Runrig since the early 80s. I hope I understand what they try to say. When I lived in the UK, I would chase around the place to hear them! Dust says a lot to me, I am obviously not a Gael, but I do love the place of my birth,. We get treated like shit too, so I have always understood what the band say

Aye born in England but have solid Scottish roots and fucking love that place to bits! Actually descendant of Clan Bruce haha, fucking love it wouldn't have it any other way! Rory deserves a fucking amazing 70th Birthday hope he has an amazing time he thoroughly deserves it, bless him :) In about 1306 or 1307 Robert I seeked the refuge by fleeing to Islay under the refuge of Aonghus Óg's clan Dhomhnaill (Clan Donald), the amount of respect I have for that clan is immense! Robert I's mother being at least a descendant of the Gaels, amazing language too, making it a mission of my entire life to eventually be fluent in Gáidhlig thanks to Runrig, actually Robert I would have spoken pretty much a combination of Norman French and Gaelic.

Better rendition of this on "Recovery" CD, appropriately following 'The Old Boys'. On hearing of the death of a good friend these tunes and a 'few' uisge beatha helped ease the pain. Thanks.

Epitomised though what they were really about when you think about it
