So glad that you liked these guys! I grew up listening to Runrig! Maymorning is a great song but by no means their best! My favourite is the Ocean Road! Would be great to see some more of these guys on the channel!

The Ocean Road is my absolute fav and an absolute underrated classic in my opinion, I would love to see other people's opinions of that piece of phenomenal music ❤🎵. "I Walked out, one Morning fair, by the Ocean Road to Linger there," Carry on If you wish 😊😊

David this song sets it's background in the backdrop of the fact that Scotland would have it's own government after 300 years

Hi David, welcome to Scottish Folk-Rock band Runrig, established in 1973 on the Isle of Skye and running until their farewell concert in 2018. The lead vocalist you see here (who is Canadian, in case you're confused) is their second lead vocalist, Bruce Guthro, who we sadly lost this time last year. Original lead vocalist is Donnie Munro - who for me has a very unique tone and very powerful voice. If I may I'd like to request Runrig's "Loch Lomond (Live in Balloch)", which is a rendition of a traditional, centuries-old Scottish song. This is with Donnie on vocals and it's a real crowd-engager... more so than this song. It's a song that we in Scotland play and sing to every new years eve (it's the law 😂). Incidentally, Runrig sing a significant number of their songs in Gaelic. Fabulous band. I usually watch and comment mainly on your Nightwish videos but when i saw you'd reacted to Runrig it pricked my ears 😂 (I'm originally a Highlander). P.S. i think you are going to love Nightwish's new single, "An Ocean of Strange Islands" (it's pretty damn sick 😁) Feelin' you David! C'mon now!! 🤘

Runrig recognized the fans as fanmily and that isn't a typo

Hey... sorry for my reaction that is not on Runrig but about ..... Danny Vera (all 3 videos). I put it here because of the bigger chance you read it. Danny Vera is from the Netherlands and had a mega hit with Rollercoaster. He sounds very American. I was very surprise you gave him such high scores. Because of the genre. But i really enjoy your reviews. Thank you. I was thinking, if he gets a 7 than he did very well hahaha. Fun fact. Floor Jansen (Nightwish) and Epica are also from 🇳🇱

If you go and listen to the studio version it has very little appeal compared with the live versions that's why we say there the best live band in the land

The song is very much a cloud pleaser, one of the more popular song. A great song doesn't have to be a hit, to be succesful. The singer was Bruce Guthro who joined in 1998. He was recently passed away. The band formed in 1973, with, Rory, Calum and Blair Douglas, starting of as a dance band. Donnie joined in 1974 to 1997. So having been to a few concerts, I can safety say the song was a popular one
