thanks for explaining rvt clearly: volume to specify the sample range, rvt texture used to store sample result, material to output to rvt, and use rvt for blending

This is the best and most clear tutorial on RVT I found! :) Thank you a lot! I did encounter a small thing, the RVT does not completely take over the texture, only kind of its color, I send an screenshot ImgBB Link to show what the issue is. This is a great video, thank you so much, i finally understand RVT. I was wondering on a large landscape with RVT the whole landscape textures seem very blurred. Do you have any advice ? With the exact same setup on a small terrain there is no blur. The only difference from your video is i am sampling the whole terrain

But how would you make this work for, lets say an open world game. Surely u cant spam RVT sample boxes manually over every foliage instance (if say u use rocks with the foliage tool)? And i assume sampling the ENTIRE landscape is not feasible.

Well rvt is for open world and I'm using landscape for it . And change your landscape material to use rvt and it will sample the terrain once and it will 100 time more efficient than just using material

Hi, what do I do when exactly the transition between the two surfaces is very blurry. so the asset material is perfect, but the landscape texture doesnt get picked up properly? Thanks for helping :)
