metaphysics is the branch of philosophy which fine tunes premonition abilities. when you study the very base root of matter, objects, people, and the properties by which comprise those things, you can accurately predict how it would interact with other forms later on. hence the ability to prophesize. and people will think youre crazy when in reality you arent. you just thought about it. this shit isnt a secret anymore. we are spiritual creatures with an innate ability to know these things if we tried.

One of the defining characteristics of shamanism is transformation and in this way comedians who turn tragedy into comedy are shamans, so too are authors, musicians, artists, and actors. It is the failure to transform and to understand the process of transformation that stagnates ideas in the minds of the military and political among us. And I think it is necessary to explain that we (as humans) do not fully understand the cell's inability to regenerate over time, making each of us mortal and therefore limited. If you drop acid, take DMT or use other mind expanding drugs and/or techniques, you will come to the conclusion that while you are an all-knowing, all-powerful being, you do have to ''come back to earth'' and crawl along your own path like the ants you observe at your feet. Take heart, this is the way. *When Terrance says that society's breakdown is upon us, that we're suffering the apocalypse now, what does he expect? The universe is an un-simultaneously experienced phenomena, it's creating and destroying itself all the time. Whether or not we're paying attention to it.

Terrance's ideas about virtual life showed his keen insight on the rise to society living a large portion of their conscious life on cell phones and the internet, perhaps this will be the trend of the future to society living more virtually. Also, his comments about the third world being in an apocalyptic state ring true, which will be played out even more with the future horrors of the climate crisis and their effect on the third world. So, it wasn't as soon as he expected but it will happen within the next two or three coming decades.

12:26 images are not harmful in of themselves - they merely reflect what a person can't see in themselves - they light a fire. This fire separates the subtle from the gross, by allowing (and because media is ubiquitous in today's society) forcing people to look inwards - to face reality, to grow closer to self. It is this process that allows an escape from what would otherwise be stagnation and endless scapegoating. It is a flame that was lit a long time ago, a process we are each born into and undergo.

I recently got into McKenna’s lectures on KZbin. This vid here is by far the most underwhelming, and steeped in some questionable talking points that too often seem to align with the nefarious aspects of globalism at present. In other talks he is warmer, more generous of spirit, more open, and the ideas more cogent. Perhaps his trickster aspect was more activated when presenting with others, acting as a foil. Of course it’s still interesting to hear from Ralph and Rupert and generally have a record of such talks from this era, the early 90s. If this vid were my first time hearing Terence I likely would have not listened to him any further. I suggest looking elsewhere if this comment resonates with you. His work on alchemy provides food for thought, and I remain tremendously grateful that we have access to archives of his talks…
