100% affinity with lv3 MT is a 500% increase to sharpness. 20 hits of blue in the video = 100 hits of blue with lv3 MT.

You can build a similar set to this one (a tad weaker if Val gear conditions are met) using vaik chest rathalos arms Anja coil and rajang pants alongside whichever helmet suits your build and a 2 lvl 2 slots talisman and of course the hi top ninja SnS. You don't have as much def/elemental Def, but you have atk 4crit boost 2 1 heroics and 4 slots not counting helmet, so you can max protective polish and crit boost and have helmet options like almudron to finish off atk and have 1 spare slot and whichever talisman your working with, in my case is a slugger 2 punish draw 2 with a lvl 3 slot and a lvl 2 slot,but realistically all you need is a 2 lvl 2 slots to finish off what you are planning and have a spare lvl 2 slot for something like evade extender. It's similar in power but more comfy and easy to work with slot wise ( 4 lvl 1 slots for max grinder and 1 in flinch free wich is 👌). I'm using particularly almudron helmet, vaik chest, rathalos braces, Anja coil, gold hakama pants and the 2 slugger 2 punish draw 1 lvl 3 slot and 1 lvl 2 slot. For decos I have 2 sharp jewels on helmet, 1 atk boost 1 sharp 1 brace jewel on chest, atk jewel on gloves, atk jewel and 2 drain jewels on coil, 1 brace and 1 drain jewel on hakama pants, 1 handycraft and 1critial jewel on talisman and 3 grinder jewels on SnS. That leaves me with atk boost 7 critical boost 3 protective polish 3 stamina thief 3 speed sharpening 3 punish draw 2 slugger 2 flinch free 2 latent power 1 and handycraft 1. Its very easy to replicate and its almost as powerfull as vals. Hope this helps someone.

I personally like using the Bludgeoner side of things. I don't know, the Handicraft build feels like a long walk for a short drink of water. I'd rather have more quality of life skills.

1 Handicraft and 2 protecitve polish or vice versa can be better than 3 Bludgeoner and still comfy, specially if you use shield bash.

For me speed sharp 3 is just too good to worry about things that preserve sharpness, you can sharpen in combat with just about any opening, easier than drinking a health potion, for the cost of 3 level 1 slots. I run the the ninja sword handicraft 3 or 4 build, I've tried the meta builds, while they do more dam to weak spots, the ninja build makes my hunts go the fastest. For S&S mains, try guard up 1 if you haven't yet, lets you block just about anything with just 1 point. And if you do use the ninja sword still pick silkbind boost as the ramp skill, makes the metsu shoryugeki, I don't know the percentage but it's better than atk boost 7 for it, so it must be higher than +%10 dam.

I was also going to say, if the sharpness lasts almost an entire fight, why not drop all the speed sharpening and just spend 3 mins fishing for great whetfish?

Hear the man, guys. Put 1 brace jewel in your build when in multiplayer. It's a lvl 1 slot, and makes ALL the difference.

I've been using the hi ninja sns for the longest I love not having to build for affinity and I prefer using bludgeoner over having blue sharpness

drop speed sharpening. between protective polish and shield attacks not using sharpness the monster should be dead/ run away before you need to sharpen. If the monster does hang around for some reason then just use a great whetfish to instantly sharpen.

You're using mostly Setsu and shield bash combo. Both do not deplete sharpness. The sharpness being built on a non-elemental build without the elemental combo in lieu of the bash combo is redundant

When he was talking about being lucky with a 2 slugger 2 tier 2 talisman I couldn't help but think about a charm I got.. full slugger and 2 lv2 slots and a spare lv 1 skill related to eating I can't remember I've been sticking that thing on almost all my raw sets lmao

Heyy, how can you get that Crit Jewel 2? I have Apex Blaze Sac and I have completed Rampage Apex Rathalos, but that Crit Jewel still unlock. I cant create it. Anyone has ideas? Or are there have ever experience the same problem?

Hi ninja sword x1drain jewel 1, x2 satiated 1 jewel 1 Skull visage s x1 fungiform jewel 3, x1 blunt jewel 2 Vaik mail s x1 fungiform jewel 3, x1 critical jewel 2, x1 drain jewel 1 Tigrex braces s x1 fungiform jewel 3 Anjanath coil s x1 critical jewel 2, x1 satiated jewel 1, x1 brace jewel 1 Hunters greaves s x1 critical jewel 2 Tali is a attack boost 2 with a 2 slot and a single. X1 minds eye jewel 2, drain jewel 1 Skills Attack boost 6 Critical boost 3 Bludgeoner 3 Stamina theif 3 Mushroomancer 3 Free meal 3 Mind's eye 2 Stun resistance 1 Fortify 1 Flinch free 1 Demon pedalace...sliding slash/metsu shoryugeki Healing with shrooms is so much quicker and gets you right back into the fight. Lol, spidermaning is so much fun. Love the content keep up the good work.

Personally I don't really like gear building in Rise, because its all about attack. I mean, back in World I used Partbreaker SnS build and it was very effective in both part breaking and monster slaying. But in Rise that doesn't seem to work as well like I wish it would. It feels like adding Partbreaker skill just wastes your slots and you're better off going full on Attack skills (or Valstrax set). I kinda don't like that in Rise and I kinda miss World's gear building. because it felt like you had more room to play with. Great builds though, gonna have to try them out someday.

i try hi ninja sword build. in solo you kind of succeed to stun/knockback monster. it doesnt works on multiplayer.

Slugger is a n00btrap, and with 2 handi jwls you really don't need protective polish since shieldbash hits do not use sharpness. Either go crit eye/AB/counterstrike/OG for max dmg in set 1

I'm still confused as to why anyone would use Shorygeki over windmill. Both cost two wirebugs and Shory' has to be timed perfectly, and you will definitely miss at times with it, maybe a lot if you don't know the moves of the monster perfectly, and if you do actually time it right you get some free damage, while windmill is a guaranteed damage dealer that gives you super armor throughout the entire move, it will work 100% of the time because it's not a counter you need to time and the damage seems to be more with windmill, even if the damage was a little more with Shory' windmill just seems like the obvious choice to me unless I'm missing something.

Shoryu deals alot of KO damage and it doesn’t eat up into your sharpness since these builds focus on shield bashes.
