A really original masterpiece, Kenshin. The fact that this continues to amaze shows it, and proves that it is timeless. Really something else, nothings competes. historical, family, love, friendship, cultures, religions, traditional and modern, cool, and chilled, light, heavy, funny, intense, samurai, ninjas, westerners, easterners, masters, students, legends and revolutions. all this Kenshin had to create "imperfection" and balance, which is why its perfect. one word for Kenshin is modesty..

I remember when i used to watch samuria x when i was a kid, it was such an amazing character who i admired, then i heard he was a murderer, it was like....shocking, but i still admire him not for that past but for his great personality, honorable and with good morals and his great ideology, great character fighting a tough past.

That toonami lineup....idk the right order but it was something like this yu yu hakasho, g gundam, outlaw star, rurouni kenshin, and the main event was DBZ!!! But don't forget gundam wing...... I remember it was always WB kids(Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, batman beyond) on saturdays and Toonami during the weekdays, Nickelodean(hey arnold, rocket power, etc.) on school mornings. The shows back then had so much meaning and was very creative. Shonen Jump is really keeping anime alive.

Too bad the artist/author don't do any better stuff than Rurounin Kenshi anymore. I bought the whole manga set for Samurai X(Mandarin chinese ver.) and was reading them over and over, but when his new stories about a talking spiky ball with hammer(what's that title, can't remember) and transforming weapons(once again, what's that title, can't remember) came about, i've lost most of my interest in his work. He should do sequel for Rurounin Kenshin rather than shooting out works that don't have that much firepower like Kenshin.
