Hello all you Rush Rockers! Who isn't in awe of the band? Miss the chemistry and music these guys created. What more can I say, they were and still are just great. Hope you enjoy! Please share any comments you have.

Hello Marc, that's for the comment. Alex is great and deserves all the accolades he can get. Hope you enjoyed!

I really appreciate your exemplary breakdown of the critical importance of Alex Lifeson in Rush, for without Alex there would be no Rush.

Alex was and is so fundamental to Rush overall as a band. Love their music and he needs the Kudos he well deserves. Hope you enjoyed the video! Thanks for sharing.

Excellent list. It's awesome to see Circumstances get some recognition. One of my favorites from the guys from the great white north.

Hello YYZ! Yes, that song blows my mind every time I hear it and never gets played, boo. Such unique songs and I loved Rush from the first time I heard them. Glad you enjoyed the video. Just having fun!

Back in 1983, some guy pulled me away from a party, took me to his car, and started explaining Rush to me -- just because I had mentioned I was interested in getting to know Rush. He said, "Hemispheres is their best album and don't let anyone ever tell you differently." So, Hemispheres was the first Rush album (yes vinyl) I bought, and I listened to side 2 first since it was 3 "shorter" songs. So, Circumstance was the very first song I heard on my Rush journey. And it's still probably my favorite Rush song. And 40+ years later, and 22 live shows later, I still believe that guy was right. haha!

The first prog bands I was exposed to (via older brother) were Yes, Pink Floyd and King Crimson. This was in the early '70s. In 1977 was the first time I got exposed to Rush (A Farewell to King's) at a friend's house. I was totally blown away. Alex Lifeson was such an innovative guitarist back then with using the taurus pedals to aid his complex playing skills. I couldn't wait to see Alex live and finally did on Rush's Permanent Waves tour. I was in more awe watching Alex live. I will never forget it.

Hello JR. My first exposure to the band was 2112. After that, it was what album of theirs could I get my hands on? Those sounds coming through the turn-table blew me away! Loved every minute of it. Hope you enjoyed this little trip. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you all for making this my most viewed video. May not be setting KZbin records but it was a nice surprise. Just making these videos for fun and to honor some great players. Please take time to check out some of the other bands I have showcased. God bless and I appreciate you all for taking a few minutes of your day to watch.

I know AL is revered by everyone, but I always can't help feeling that he deserves more. The man is being incredible. When I met him a few years ago I actually couldn't talk. Never happened before. 😂

Thanks for sharing. Alex seems like a nice guy, and he has a good sense of humor. They all did. I loved the extra videos the guys added to their live performances before they hit the stage. Hope you watch and comment on some of my other videos. Merry Christmas all!

Alex has always been underrated as a player. Rush invented progressive rock pretty much. Three guys building complex music and sounding like .more than three guys. I've been a fan from their beginning.

Hello Bryant! Could not agree more. Alex rocks and got overshadowed a bit during the synth heavy years. Love his sound and style. Rush is the Prog Rock band in my mind. Thanks so much for sharing. Hope to see your comments on more of my videos.

Hello Eddie! Thank you for the nice comments. Rush has been a fav of mine for a very long time, I'm old you know. However, I seem to always find a new gem of theirs when I go back and listen to their albums. Hope you take the time to check out some of my other videos that could use some love.

@RiffinMyJeans-o9u Rush debut is one of my favorites. Rush hit my radar in 76 when we moved back to Canada from Charlotte NC and they opened up for Aerosmith. Alex Lifeson is my guitar idol and a few others. He is so tasteful in his playing You should check him playing last week at The Andy Kim Christmas Concert.

Hello Jim! Hope you are well. Subdivisions gets all the glory, and it is a great, great song. However, Analog Kid rocks and deserves more appreciation. Rush pulled off a great version of Leave that Thing Alone on the Rush in Rio video. Thanks for the comments.

Solo in No One At The Bridge from Caress Of Steel is AWESOME!!!
@RiffinMyJeans-o9u26 күн бұрын
Hello Jonas! Merry Christmas and all that. Caress of Steel gets a bad rap sometimes however, it was another solid effort from the band. People didn't get the longer songs, so we got 2112 out of the criticism. I'll take that! Thanks for sharing.

So Test for Echo was the only time RUSH put them selves on the cover of one of their albums. Tragically fitting. I thought Totem and Dog Years off T4E, and the "Are they oblivious..." part of the camera eye.
@RiffinMyJeans-o9uАй бұрын
Yeah the boys kept themselves in check with the photo opts on albums. I saw them on the Test of Echo tour and they did side A of 2112 in its entirety. They were so good. Thanks for sharing and hope you subscribe.

Love Rush and Alex is a good player. 2112 blew me away. Ignore the negative comments. I have watched several of your videos and like your character. Yes, the videos could use some tweaking, don’t most new channels? But overall, they are simple and enjoyable. Dry humor but some depth as well. I really liked the Tony MacAlpine video, made me think a bit more than I expected.

Any Rush head could tell you Alex was a genius. Still nice to see them acknowledged. Oh please lose that awful 'English' synthesised narration because it sounds bloody awful to the English ear!

Love Rush but that AI voiced character sucks ass
@RiffinMyJeans-o9uАй бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Sorry, I left my covid mask back in 2020. I know those other masked AI characters are all the rage now, not my game. You can blame my Mum and Dad for the voice. Merry Christmas to all. God bless!
@caryd67Ай бұрын
I understand the OP’s opinion. The AI voiceover stuff seems to be the new annoying reality. It’s not that the voice itself is annoying, it’s the weird, jerky cadence with unnaturally long gaps between sentences. If you can smooth it out, it would sound more natural. The other annoying thing about AI is the strange fluctuating between pronouncing words and names correctly, and suddenly incorrectly. It’s “Lifeson” , not “Lifesin”. I suppose AI will eventually get all these details right, and we won’t know if we’re listening to a human or not, but for now I appreciate a human narrator.
