I was at this concert. The first time I saw them. Got to meet them at the Meet & Greet at the Snakes and Arrows tour in the same city in 2008 - on my birthday no less.

So lucky to get to see them on this tour twice. They always sound amazing and never disappoint. Sure miss seeing them live.🤘😎👍

I saw them three times on the RTB tour and for one of the shows (in Austin) I was lucky enough to get a front row seat from a scalper. Primus opened for them and my seat was right in front of Les Claypool which also put me right in front of Geddy when Rush came out. Early on in the show Alex walked over to Geddy and made a really funny face at me behind Geddy's back while doing the hand/rabbit ears thing behind Geddy's head. I love this clip mostly because of how much fun they're having.

xxxx15us That’s cool! My first Rush show was in Austin, at the Frank Erwin Center, during the Time Machine Tour. I was 8 years old. Amazing show!

Glad you liked it! Seeing and hearing Geddy actually start to crack up from Alex's goofing around during Finding My Way is hilarious. Yeah, the quality's pretty damn good for an ancient VHS tape. Almost everything I'm putting up is rare interview and documentary stuff instead of actual live music but I may eventually put up this whole show and others as well.

One of their best tours, imo. Those Ludwig’s that Neil’s using sounds incredible, the Wal Bass, Alex’s guitar, everything just sounds great. Thanks for posting, I know I’m late, lol.

That was awesome! I love it when they interact like that with each other and the audience. I love these guys! Great post & video for being 20 years old...Getty Lee looks the same but Alex looks so young here.

I agree it's a great amateur recording for being 20 years old but I didn't film it, it's just from one of the many, many videos in my audience bootleg collection. I may put up the whole show in the future if I can do it all as one clip. Glad you liked it!

love how their Encore consists of magic and a mixture or great tunes, as opposed to other bands who play 1 song. best band ever, and thanks to the one who recorded this!! Neils toms sound amazing!!

Great appreciation for this video. Ged laughing at 8:40 and the Neil windmill at 9:13 was too funny. They are so loose here, especially Neil. Many thanks.

Yeah it is, plus late the tour they added a teaser of Cygnus X-1 at the very end as they've done on several other tours since then. Glad you liked it!

I just watched this (again) over my morning coffee. Now this was a great encore! Watch what a great time the boyz are having, to me this is what makes a great Rush concert. Roll the Bones Tour has always seemed to me to be the most fun of all the tours I've seen. The quality is crappy by today's standards but for 1992, it kicks ass!
@xxxx15us11 жыл бұрын
Well, they added the short Cygnus X-1 teaser on the Roll the Bones tour starting with the European dates beginning on April 10th, 1992. The show in this video is from February. So any show on April 10th or later would have it. I've got several other bootlegs with it included so I have no way of knowing which specific one you're looking for. Of course, they also have included the same teaser at the end of several tours since then.

Geddy Lee playing that red Wal MKII, amazing... switching from the best bass ever to the fender jazz bass was a huge mistake in my opinion; his best bass tone was from the albums he used a Wal on
@nickavenoso78514 жыл бұрын
21Rushisaband12 The Wal was great, but my favorite bass that he used was the Ric. I don’t think it was a mistake, I really like the tone of the fender jazz too. But, that is just my opinion
@Katehowe30103 жыл бұрын
The Ric for me too. It's no coincidence that he uses it on their best albums!

I don't get how anyone can be a stick in the mud like the guy below about the energy and vibe these guys had going here. Hamming it up for the audience and having a blast doing it. These guys would have quit forever ago if they didn't enjoy doing it, and I personally love it when you just get the energy in the air at the concert from the audience, the stage, everything! It's what makes one show unique to another and makes it worthy of seeing multiple times. Besides, nothing is more boring than guys on stage just going through the motions. The band and audience play off one another. And saying the music doesn't mean anything to them any more? That's just plain retarded - none of these songs were an emotional serious tune (Alex even does his lost in trance thing during La Villa half the time) - they were all upbeat. It's not like Alex is being a goofball in the middle Limelight, Nobody's Hero, Afterimage, or Resist...

Would you have the encore from the June 92 show @ Riverport in St. Louis??? Alex was making noise I didn't know existed & the encore varied from most encores of RTB I've heard a bit radically! They threw in Analog Kid TOO so I wasn't hurt anymore for missing New Workd Tour 😎😎😎
@xxxx15us9 жыл бұрын
+John Erkman No, sorry. I've got a bunch of audience bootlegs from the RTB tour but not the one you mentioned. You're right, they did change the set up a bit for the last leg of that tour. New to the setlist were Vital Signs, The Analog Kid, and The Trees. None of those were in the encore, however.

DAMN! Wish they would have released concert footage from the 90’s tours. Some of the best set lists and sound in that decade. No 20th or 30th anniversary box sets of Presto, RTB, Counterparts or t4E😂 obviously.🥲🤘🖖✌️🎸🥁🎹🎤
