I saw this live on the night. The sound was pretty abysmal from where I was sitting, distorted due to having been tweaked up far too loud - I remember a guy coming out on stage making an announcement at the start, saying that anyone who found it too loud could leave within the first 15 minutes and get a full refund. I couldn't believe it when it was released as a DVD but it just goes to show how the Front of House guys can make a complete hash of what was actually a great performance.

I saw it live on the night twice, a fortnight prior to this and although loud, the out front sound was great. I would say the best Rush live sound I ever heard was on Hold Your Fire, but it was too processed and I hated the twangy Wal bass in addition to Lifeson's wafer thin sounding 'Signature' guitars at the time. Much preferred the more organic 'big' sound that they revived.
