Rush keep blowing my mind. The sad loss of Neil Peart (the worlds greatest drummer) in 2020 to brain cancer... Sadly Geddy Lee (Vocals) and Alex Lifeson (blonde on guitar) retired the band. Peart was the lyricist and composer, he joined the band just before their first tour in 71... as a comment below says “if you go down the rabbit hole you’ll come out changed”... I’m Sure Neil and the boys would love that analogy- Peart was an avid reader and player of Roll Playing Games- I would be curious to see your reaction to anything from 2112. Geddy Lee, vocals, bass, and keyboards. This was a recording session so he played one at a time and they dubbed it together on the album. But during live shows he uses peddles at times to help him handle all 3 at times. Amazing musician. The drummer is Neil Peart and is also the lyricist. He is widely known as one of the best if not the best rock drummer ever. This was in 1980 so you can imagine how much he progressed decades later.

The Rush music story is long and varied. It’s a deep deep catalog of some of the most incredible rock music ever recorded. And it’s just a trio. While starting in 1968 with a different drummer, three years later he was replaced by drum God Neil Peart. The line up remained the same right to the end in 2015 when, as popular as ever, they called it quits. Each a master practitioner and each a multi instrumentalist. So you got incredible music, a unique and instantly identifiable voice, sick beats and lyrics that are next level. Enjoy the ride,

KEY TO LOCK - Follow the drummer closely, he also writes their lyrics. "Tom Sawyer" 'starts' on the bass drum on (1) with 2 short instrumental bars, then with 'vocals' for 2 short bars - then begins a 16 bar bridge which re-occurs throughout the song. During this 'bridge' the drummer plays; 1 bass drum beat in the 1st bar, 2 bass drum beats in the second bar, 3 bass drum beats in the 3rd bar and 4 bass drum beats in the 4th bar. This easily overlooked but precise mathematical application is observed throughout Neil Peart's (R.I.P.) career.

Rush was a rock band that came out of Canada in the 70s. They did hot have many top ten hits but produced many well received albums with sounds often touching on social and political commentary. I was always anazed by the big sound that came from just those three guys. The singer/ guitarist is named Geddy Lee. The other guitarist is Alex Lifeson. Between them Lee and Lifeson also played many other types of instruments. The drummer is Neil Peart and is regarded as one of the finest drummers of the modern era. I'm a huge Rush fan! I'm so you were diggin it! I would love to see you do more of Rush! I'm not sure how you organize your videos or if you do entire album reactions. If you do, Rush and Led Zeppelin would be a great place to start doing full album reactions. I was lucky enough to see Rush twice in concert. The second was the ultimate best for me due to some amazing circumstances in which I ended up in the 3rd row, center toward the right which is where Geddy Lee stands. I was on a small amount of mushrooms which just enhanced my experience and I must have had a huge smile on my face because I swear, Geddy Lee looked right at me and smiled right back! Neil Peart had a drum set that spun around as he played and there were instruments in his drum set that filled the entire space which was a square. It was an outdoor venue just outside of downtown St. Louis, Mo. One of the top 5 shows I've ever seen from anyone, and I've had some incredible experiences in my younger days! Peace!
