Just discovered your channel. Anybody with this many Rush bass covers gets a subscription from me! That first verse with bass, guitar, and drums playing synchronized is a real killer. How those guys did that show after show and always stayed locked in on each other is simply baffling. You were a little ahead the first time but locked in perfectly when the song comes back to it after the guitar solo. And your right-hand technique is perfect for Rush-beat those strings like they owe you money!

Thanks for the lovely comment!!! I’m really glad you enjoy the videos. I agree, Rush were absolute madmen when it came to performing and recording and writing. Forever my favorite band!!

I really dont get why people think this os a hard bass song to play. I play bass and all i heard was abot Getty Lee and YYZ. I learned it. Its a groove. I am not really a jazz bassist. But it isnt as hard as everyone makes it out to be.
@PrestonHunsinger9 ай бұрын
It’s more the speed that’s difficult over anything else. None of the shapes or phrases are that complex, but the speed and endurance required to play it is the hardest part. Geddy Lee still wrote amazing bass lines and Rush is some of the most complex material out there.
