Not sure if there is water damage on the ceiling of your beautiful RV, but if it is...mold could be lurking underneath the ceiling, it's not always visible. I always get nervous with water stains because I have a 3 cm mass in my upper left lobe of my lung, it's a fungus ball called an Aspergilloma, due to hidden mold under my floor from unknown water damage. Allergies increased and my breathing was uh scary. Got worse and worse. Better be safe than sorry, Austin is a miracle man and can magically fix everything, maybe replace that ceiling before using the RV again. Check de-lamination in all walls.❤ Mold affects Littles and babies more, but also dangerous for adults. I'm hoping I don't lose a lung 🙏. Please take it seriously. I don't want to be...one of those😂 but some of you got worse in the RV and it makes sense. Mold isn't visible all the time. I love all of you❤ just want you to be safe and share my story to help others, please understand its not meant in negativity at all❤

Very true, they all seem to be worth in the RV other than Evelyn. As soon as they got home their breathing started to clear up rapidly.

Yup that was my conclusion as well. I got the worst symptoms from mold and had no idea.

My daughter and her husband and two granddaughters were going camping this weekend but weather in Oklahoma is iffy,and same for here in N Texas. We’ve had a lot of rain lately and I really enjoy it, plus it’s making some green vegetation grow…think weeds and clover. 😂 I hope y’all feel better, I’ve had severe allergies my whole life beginning at birth when I couldn’t tolerate cows milk, and was put on goats milk, then in my late 20’s I started having anaphylactic episodes and would wind up in the ER…. Allergies are not fun!

My son when he was 4 years old had to have a tube in one of his ears. The procedure was much faster and easier than I had imagined. It was the best thing for him and helped him tremendously. Just wanted to reassure you about that-as a parent I believe it was harder on me than on him. Hang in there!

I would so get an air purifier if you haven't yet. I think it should help with your allergies and help with Gideon's Asthma too. Even get 1 for the camper too.

Second, I know you feel overwhelmed with your vacation plans not going as planned. You want the best memories for your kids; there will be more camping trips where you'll make new memories. I feel so bad for the boys 😢 my son got diagnosed with asthma at the age of 3 months and it was horrible with him not being able to tell me how he was feeling. Thankfully we lived across the street from the hospital. I always kept my eyes on his nails. If the were getting dark I knew it was time for the hospital and his oxygen levels were dropping. Scariest thing ever. I used to sleep on a recliner with him on my chest so he wasn’t laying flat. You’re a good mommy Joy and Austin is such an amazing daddy. ❤

A mold issue in the RV ceiling would definitely explain the Asthma attack and allergies acting up. Please look into this. Mold can be hazardous! My mother-in-law and sister-in-law just had to evacuate their mobile home because of mold. It was in the walls and they had no idea! They can't move back in and now have to look for a new home. They were both having breathing problems!

Camping⛺️ in your RV is AMAZING,🤩 but always make sure that there is no mold or toxins in the camper vehicle, because they can be dangerous to the respiratory system to have to inhale. Something I found did when I was young with asthma was drink ice cold water with ice cubes sat and sipped it help with the attacks. Wash pollen off the car too. This time of year is awful for allergies

My son was a little younger than Gideon when he was diagnosed with cough Variant Asthma. He hardly ever wheezed, even when admitted to the hospital, which was a lot. Praying for you all. I know what it’s like with a child (that’s now an adult) that has asthma.

I know how you feel when your children are sick. My older son has asthma so he was always suffering from some sort of respiratory illness or another 😮. As he got older it got more under control. I know it’s hard when your kids are sick.

Poor Gideon. I have had severe asthma and allergies all my life (i’m 50) so know how awful it can be. Hopefully he has good allergy meds which are taken every day and his inhaler helps him. This time of year with all the pollens can be the worst. Evie is so funny and so sweet.

I agree! I read a few comments about how dangerous it is to give medication that isn't prescribed for that specific person but what were they supposed to do? Let him continue coughing all night and not breathing well. I would have given it too tbh. When u are in a situation like that u make the best decision u can as a parent and its heart breaking when your child is suffering

Our youngest son was diagnosed with asthma when he was 1, and we had to do breathing treatments with him. Thankfully, he hasn't had any attacks in years(he will be 28 this year) I diagnosed with asthma when I was in my 20's but is been under control for many years as well. I'll be praying for all of you. It may be very helpful for you all to be going to an allergist. You could each be tested for specific allergies and then each be treated for those specific allergies. It's helped me tremendously. Definitely have your camper checked for mold! That could make you all terribly ill. Remember that asthma attacks can be deadly. With prayers, love and gentle hugs, from Donna in Florida.

I had asthma as a kid. It helps to get rid of any thing that smells. Candles, dryer sheet, perfume, and some deodorant , especially the men's axe brand. Some really bad things like febreeze. Just get rid of all of it. I hope he feels better soon.

I changed all the cleaning products, I couldn't wash dishes without sneezing and coughing on everything. I don't have any trouble with these allergies unless I get around someone who has these chemicals on them. I have to buy most of my supplies from a company that sell them at a fair price.

My son is gideons age and has an inhaler. He actually has a few. You can use them a lot when things like this flare up. It will be interesting to see to see if it happens again when you are in the RV. Might have to look at mold. But this time of the year all the grasses and spring blooming is affecting our son’s asthma. Prayers for you all. 18:13

My grandson was diagnosed with environmental asthma. I took my Grandsons camping (he was 7) and after a few days developed a horrible cough then was very emotional. I took him home & he got a breathing treatment at the local ER. The woods, water, dirt, fire and every creepy crawly was more than he could take.

Hi Joy, my son has really bad allergies as well. We use Clairitin and Flonase spray daily. Benadryl as needed on the rough days and nights. It works for him. I hope Gideon feels better😊
