I have been there 35 years ago. I had always ordered Kebab on pitta bread, a lot of meat with mixture of vegetables with lemon juice and mayonaise dressing. It cost me then about 1 pound but worth it. This should be a must place to visit in case I have the opportunity to visit Manchester again.

If yu want to try a kobeda try barbecue in Middleton the best kobeda in the north by far!! Very well known

Not been Rusholme Chippy in ages. I found it got too expensive and quality faded. But still a nice spot though. Al Aqsa in longsight for kobeda or Al Bukhary (formerly Sadafs) also on wimmy road do really nice kobedas too

You are correct rusholme chippy were pioneer in kobeda back in the days. But not any more. They are ok nothing special anymore. I prefer cheetham star and Santos on cheetham hill rd.

Yeah it's pretty steep but I guess iconic places like this have paid their dues and can charge slightly more because of the history associated with the food

Today 22.07.2021 I had visited the Rusholme Chippy with my family include two special need children's. The counter staff was very bad behave with us. I am going to lunch the official complain to the Manchester City Council against the Rusholme Chippy stuff disgusting behavior. I do not recommend other people to come.

Halal Food Travel Guy I’m pretty sure it’s the same owners as burgerism which you been to already , the menus and type of location are very similar , I tried broski and unfortunately it’s one of the worst places I have tried , VERY expensive for what you get , honestly you can make it better at home , my bun was 3” like a mini size savers one you get from Players for £1.14 but with there original beef burger on it that taste average for £8-9 daylight robbery the chips and cheese sauce was nice thou but again the cost doesn’t match with what you get if that makes sense

Rusholme chippy is excellent however the prices have gone up! A lot of the other kobeda joints have had staff who originally work there move over. If you’re into Caribbean food I highly recommend douggies carribean diner. It is home style carribean food and the owner is a good lad.

Halal Food Travel Guy Yeah a tenner is steep for two kobedas! There are two Douggies. One in Chorlton (Manchester road) and one in moss side (Great western street). The jerk chicken is amazing. All halal too.
