Ive had exact opposite experience. Don Hinds by me has always been place I went to for parts, but when I was rear ended they took care of me with OEM parts. Eventhough my car was 17 years old, they still put oem parts on it. Because of so, I have recommended them to family to buy 3 cars from them. Also take my car there for any service that I dont want to do to my 14 GT. Not all dealerships are scum.

I find that happens often. Sales Dept does great but Service is garbage. I traded in a 2015 Scat Challenger for a 2016 Scat Charger. I bought 275 Perelli tires, same as Hellcat, from this dealership for the challenger. When I traded for Charger I asked them to transfer CAI and tires. The service manager said, they won’t fit. I told her they would as they are practically the same car and those same tires come on SRT. She said, “no they are too tall. See, 275!” I told her that is the width of the tire not the height. She said she has been the service manager for 25 years and knows what she is talking about. I argued with her as I paid for those tires from them. After all said and done she refused to put them on for me. I called and got a hold of someone else later and they apologized. Since they sold my old car already they had to put brand new ones on. I just wanted my tires put on. I didn’t ask for new ones but because she had no clue what she was doing it cost the dealer more money.

I doubt they LIED I'm pretty sure no one fucken knew about the trunk adjustment. Uneducated about the cars they sell it happens. It's a job to them they do it everyday very few of them take it as a passion or career and the same time the dealership should have classes to educate their employees on new features n how to be informed of those kinda things. So it's not their fault but I do understand your frustration and I like the fact that u researched and found how to fix it, that was incredible man. I wouldn't blame the service advisors, I'd blame the mechanic who told him that. Service advisors always go to the mechanics if they don't know an answer to a question which is what he did, But the other problem whenever you want to do something he has to talk up to higher management. I have not had good experiences with service departments. One example, I bought a used 2009 Ford F-250, it had the factory sync and 6 disc stereo system, the sync mode was not pairing with a phone, I showed it to the service manager, he told me the system wasn’t factory, and that’s the reason it wouldn’t work. I knew better, so I got online, learned that the system needed a reboot occasionally, just like a home pc. So I unhooked the battery cable, let it set for a few seconds and reconnected. The sync system worked fine. I went back to see the manager, he was pissed off at me wouldn’t acknowledge anything I had to say. There are many more stories like this I could share. If you are fortunate enough to find a good reputable service department please let others know, because they are very rare these days.

Hi Rush Shift, Let me offer some gentle advice: 1. Dealerships and /or Car Salesmen give "$50 to $100 per car" referral bonuses, which you should be getting. 2. You should introduce yourself to the General Manager at the Dealership to make him aware that you are a Mustang Vlogger with 221,000 Subscribers that has successfully recommended his dealership for business, which, of course, is advantageous to him. Tell him: Your subscribers have bought ___ cars from his dealership. Ask him about future referral bonuses .........and also talk to him about how you get special treatment when you bring your car in for service. They should be bending over backwards to keep you happy. Perhaps the reason that you are not being treated "special" (and you DO deserve this), is that the Service Managers and Advisors have not been notified how important you are to the dealership. Your demonstrated ability to bring sales to the dealership , and possibly also to their Service and Parts Departments, is hugely beneficial to them all. There has probably been a breakdown in (or lack of) communication. Ideally, once you communicate your importance to the General Manager, he will be aware and can communicate to his Managers and to your Advisor that you are due special treatment. I hope this helps.
@ponce13qb5 жыл бұрын
Dealerships work in mysteries ways. The salesman nd sales managers are cool people but then u run into the parts department nd service reps who basically nvr want to do anything unless they get money.

He was right about the process, taking pictures and submitting a claim to be denied or approved by Ford but in order to keep your business and people you send their way it will be dealt with by someone. If that person isn't aware, next step is salesman, if salesman doesn't work you go to your service manager. And by golly if that doesn't work hit up the GM.
