I felt for Russell in this exchange, and it showed the lack of insight or depth to some people in the face of tangible evidence. Also his demeaning nature towards Russell in his search of something greater than drugs and pu**y. What a waste of an opportunity to have that level of depth in front of you and just laugh back with no substance. It was similar to an overgrown adolescent with no maturity who only response is so what. Noit to.mention the structure of the interview is he basically gets wasted and incoherent for the second half. This man showed how out of touch, privileged and nieve he is. Its not even like he makes an attempt to disect or understand. He comes across so ignorant it almost appears to be a character or satire which is the greatest insult and condemnation of his stupidity.

Good point about Bill's "shtick." It doesn't hold up against the depth of thought in Russell's conversation. I was thinking of the axioms "In wine, truth" and "Out of the depths of the heart does the mouth speak." Bill shows himself to be shallow and self-centered. Not a good look.

Yeah I mean that life sounds great. It would be great for a weekend once a year. But if you live that life it's a very sad lonely existence. I know the drugs part and I assume the sex would end up the same. The first couple times you do drugs it's amazing. Withing weeks you're just chasing your tail to feel normal. You don't get high you just end up taking so many drugs you pass out or become a zombie.

Trolls, get your heads out of your asses. In this episode more than most others, I am so impressed at how clear and perfectly articulate Russell is in every word he says. His clarity of thought and ability to express it is remarkable. I do agree with some of you trolls that Bill should have delayed smoking or drinking to keep up. I found this quite funny😂 there was so many different sects of Christianity even back a couple thousand years ago. There were Christians who saw the Bible as allegory instead of literal fact. I feel like the rise in power of the Catholic Church is a big reason as to why so many see it as strictly literal. But who really knows🤷‍♂️ I’m far from an expert on the subject so take what I say with a grain of salt😂

Its impressive how hes unaffected completely with Bill serving himself right in front. You know a million thoughts ran through his head and he even looked at it directly but hes at such a high spiritual level that I dont think hes even 1% phased or thinking somewhere deep down "should I? Could I? Im not that person anymore, 1 won't hurt"

Russell strikes me as a deep soul who lost himself in hedonism, but changed so that his true voice could be heard.

When you've seen what hedonism does, by practicing a hedonistic lifestyle yourself, and how it is portrayed/marketed in culture you might become an outspoken critic of the culture.

i can tell Russells talking way to intellectually for Bill to really wrap his head around what hes actually saying. When bill tries to change subject or interrupts its cause hes overwhelmed with the rush of input from Russell, i love this interview tbh, they both have such different personalities its very interesting to see them try to understand and mesh from different sides of the universe, wish rus could have dumbed down his wording to help bill and vise versa bill try think harder, but people are who they are, i always try find the middle ground of situations and these two minds combined togeather would be a perfect middle

I'm so impressed by Rusell. Never seen him listen so much. He has now become an observer. I've been watching him for a long time. He's always been hyperactive. This is not only hilarious, but so real. I can see his soul settling down now and I can see his wisdom blossoming.

He sees bill as a child. Just so immature as a human. No experience as a person. He’s never been through anything compared to Russell. Just putting him in his place. Listening. Being composed. Restricted. Let him dig his own grave.

I'm embarrassed for Bill. It's sad his interest in being healthy excludes emotional health. He has no idea that he's actually an unhappy person (deep down), who rants about everything else but what he's actually pissed off about. If he'd face the reality that he's an addict and have the courage to do the work, he'd finally understand why he's emotionally stuck in his teens. People with that much unresolved pain don't age well, especially for everyone around them. Russell, on the other hand, is an inspiration as always, thanks to his courage, personal integrity and emotional intelligence.

its clear in the convo with Russell hes emotionally castrated himself and his ego just rambles on willfully and continues to create that vail. Being led by pleasure is really a down and out response & the primordial scapegoat.
