i am so glad im not in your situation. to be successful has levels and perspectives.. your level is so high , while mine is way down low, not that my frequencies are low they vary, and that is what makes not being in the limelight well balanced. no need to prove to the masses. i live by example. simple and direct. hidden and secure. aware and asleep. life has its own balance. with all its own to be proven..i dont look for those who need help.. we find eachother.

Not discounting the trauma Logan went through, but I’m tried of his face popping up on my phone and regurgitate what he thinks on things. I’m predicting loads of ppl playing the “traumatized child card.” after this.

The thing I find most impressive about Russell is his conversational etiquette. He asks a question and then closes his mouth and doesn’t speak again until the other person has finished their thought. No interruptions whatsoever.

This is definitely true, having the ability to hear someone out in as long a format as they believe necessary can tell you a lot about the person, and although i believe some interjection can be okay in a discussion, you can tell Russel is really doing his best to just make the person feel heard. I obviously listened to way too much Joe Rogan when i was younger and almost expect everything to end up in a shouting contest, so Russel is always a breath of fresh air.

Interrupting people is more of an American talkshow host thing. There are exceptions, but in general we British tend to be more polite in that regard. Wasn't always that way though. If you go back and watch American talkshows from the 70s, the interviewers and interviewees were far more patient and polite with each other. The nature of TV has just become condensed into short segments of shallow light entertainment designed to titilate the modern day mundane people with the attention span of a 5 year old. Which is why KZbin is winning the ratings battle and hardly anybody watches TV anymore.

Proves to me Russell could have pretty much anyone on his show, stay unbiased, and give them a fair chance to talk. Amazing how rare that is these days.
@pixiegem

Matt G well it used to be rare that Russel did that. He has totally chilled out - slowed down his speech - let’s people talk now. He used to be a nightmare - no surprise he has a vulnerability about letting people in in case they don’t like him. It’s a common issue we hyper kids have. Folks think because we are so loud and talkative that we havd thick skin but it’s the opposite - we wear our true self on our sleeves vulnerable for anyone to attack.

it is rare because the mind is used to judge instead of loving every grey of the mind of others and their being. Humans need to understand that we are all the same thing with the same purpose in life that is as simple as being. Segregation does not do us well in any way posible. Russell undestands this and thats why he unites instead of dividing.

It's energy manipulation, only Enlightened ones have this ability. Since we can sense energy in an overwhelming empathetic way, it's as if we're feeling it, being attuned to the person we talk to as if it was us. Logan is actually very soft, gentle, and scared. His youtube personality seems to be a cover up for his insecurities. His reaction of the corpse was him laughing, joking trying to hide fear and hurt, he didn't have a good initial reaction. He's definitely entertaining, full of charisma and character. Definitely very flawed, but thats no different from us. Edit: I honestly can see big change coming from him.

Never watched a single video he’s put out but I have to say he’s quite intelligent and articulate and I felt authentic in his desire to find a true calling. You get a sense theres a serious trauma he’s serious about unpacking and working on. Russell is a fantastic interviewer and his calm, reasoned energy vibes well with Logan and I believe helped him feel safe to get to his deepest tap root and share it with your audience. Great chemistry and Russell would be the perfect mentor.

Arran Jay hmm I disagree. Most content creators realise now that authenticity does much better than characters, and its much more probable that the real Logan is more like this than 2017 vlogs. At the end of the day he’s still a human, and with getting the amount of backlash that he got you would have to have some sort of emotional change and realisations along the way. Of course marketing can play a role, but he is genuinely interested in Russell and his podcasts show a similar personality.

Logan’s past is incomparable with Russell’s. Russell came across as crude as that’s his form of comedy and sleazy but charming and arrogant. Logan is straight up disrespectful and ignorant. Hello?? I was watching this knowing I can't stand Logan Paul and his "content", but I can't help but to feel he's sincerely remorseful about the suicide forest video. We've all done stupid stuff when we were younger, and I can only imagine what kind of asshole I might've been at 21-22, had I been as popular as he was and basically felt like I could do anything. Maybe I wouldn't have gone and filmed a corpse, but we need to put it all in perspective. There should be a real talk about how much social media can drive people into becoming monsters. It's time to forgive this guy, we gain nothing by piling on someone who's already gone through the worst ridicule one can possibly suffer in the internet age. If he's willing to develop as a person and grow, we should respect that. If it's one thing I can't stand it's people who pretend like they've never done anything wrong themselves and act to be nothing but the beacon of excellence, while ridiculing someone who fucked up and apologized. To me that's even worse than what Logan did. None of us are perfect.

Stop it with the knee-jerk hate!! What is this?! I am surprised to see how many Russel Brand fans (of all people) are hell-bent on perpetuating an old narrative. But I get it: Logan is the perfect target for those who deep down love to have someone they can feel superior to and safely bully. The young, successful LA fuggboy, right? Look at yourself on the "path to recovery and enlightenment" cussing him out and trying to convince positive commenters that he really IS still bad. How absolutely pathetic. Joke's on you - in a big way. I am just happy that I don't have that mindset. Logan's evolution and willingness to actively learn and grow is super interesting to follow. I truly believe Logan Paul is a very egocentric, superficial person- who also tends to *lie* to make himself look good after doing something wrong.. but I'm quite curious how this conversation will go. It's almost like Russell will talk to himself from the past (not meant to be an insult)

I agree. Both the Paul brothers are narcissistic to the highest degree. Like if theres a narcissism spectrum from 1-10, they are on 11. Logan is harder to see thru than Jake but they are both extreme

Yick James there’s a lot of reasons as to why people don’t like Logan, mostly because he’s an obnoxious douche. And it’s hard for some people to let the whole Japan thing go since he and his friends had the audacity to do something so offensive, shocking and insensitive with no regard for the victim. Sad that you guys still don’t understand it, but not surprising.

Russel is the type of guy you can talk to, spill your guts to, and he’ll listen to everything you say and help you figure yourself out. That’s why Logan is seen in a different light here, because the conversations are so open with no fear of judgement. Logan is just like the rest of us, there’s reasons and motivations behind all our actions good or bad. He’s intelligent enough to see his faults and change accordingly. I don’t think Logan deserves any of the hate he gets nowadays. He may not be everyone’s cup of tea which is fine, but as a human being, I view him as a highly decent bloke.

I actually love Logan’s podcast he has. I’m a 40 yr old woman lol. I heard it on my sons computer a few months ago and been hooked. He seems NOTHING like what I had heard of him and my son knowing I’m in recovery was like “mom! That other guy is in recovery and talks about it a lot!” I must say the three of them is a great trio and I enjoy all the things they have to say knowing younger men are listening to them. They have overcome a lot and work hard today, proud to have my son listening to them. Also love the love they show for each other! 💗💗

The only novel thing that the KZbin vloggosphere has contributed to human understanding is in answering the question: what would happen if we gave emotionally and intellectually undeveloped people the means by which to gather huge resources and a very public platform from which to have their troubling, youthful and formative experiences which would normally be conducted in private and historically corrected for by wiser elders, as opposed to rabid, sycophantic peers?
