I've seen him give interviews in other, serious situations, and he strikes me as someone very intelligent, very eloquent. Remember that part of his "performance" is the "Crazy Russell" act. That's part of his act and it's how he makes money, and I don't doubt there's at least part of that that's really HIM, but I know that he's also a very intelligent, well-read, well-spoken, thoughtful and genuine individual who actually cares about people.
