Russell's Long COVID Lived Experience Interview 2022

Russell shares his lived experience of Long COVID after having the COVID vaccine and then the COVID virus and the reactivation of a previous condition Functional Neurological Disorder. He talks about his neurological symptoms, severe fatigue, digestive issues, pain, headaches, a high heart rate, sleep challenges and how he has only 14-18 functional hours per week. Russell’s main strategies are resting, planning and learning to say ‘no’. He rests a lot to enable him to do the important things in his functional time. Russell shares how others react to his illness, how he focuses on being positive, and the good things, like the joy of nature, while making the most of what he’s got.
