Only the timing of this really surprises me. I always felt that the immediate post-war time in Russia would have a lot of drama. A 40K-strong force of the best shock troops on Earth now idle with no cities to storm; what do they do? Go into regular Army and be bored for little pay? Prigozhin would have a major problem on his hands if he didn't find useful work for his private army and no country, not even Russia, would want such a force sitting around with nothing to do. I'm still gonna bet on "it's all part of their plan" as you said, the timing is terrible, Russia is winning the war in Ukraine and they are indirectly defeating nato by destroying their weapons. agree, russia was near winning the ukraine war as ukraine started to move last soldiers to the combat borders. Wagner contract was not extended a few days ago, could it be ukraine gave them money?
