Russia Installs “Cope Cage” Protection To Save Oil Refineries From Ukrainian Drone Attacks Amid War

After sightings of armour screens on tanks and submarines, Russia appeared to be extending its defensive measures to safeguard its oil refineries. Russia was seen installing “cope cages” to safeguard its oil refineries against possible Ukrainian drone attacks. Specific details regarding the location of the fortified oil depot remained undisclosed, but the logo painted on the site suggested it was owned by the Slavyansk ECO Group. I wonder how effect they can 'cope' against ATACMS? The need for drones has been their abundance and their range, and oil refineries are well within the legal war scope of targets. With that well-established, a few well-placed ATACMS can help. While Putin's dogs attack Ukraine's civilians and their power infrastructure, Ukraine is very civilly targeting military backing infrastructure like these refineries - which have the added benefit of disrupting Russia's progress financially. Maybe the best sanction is a long range rocket after all? More ATACMS for Ukraine, especially as they prove that they can utilize them with great efficiency.

Don't forget attacks are a act of war that come and go! Russia also has less problems shooting down missiles! Debris is a real problem whilst Tanks are exposed and close together. Yet that said production has not been unduly affected. 🙂

Well, 1/3 of all air defenses in Europe were in Ukraine in 2022. Russia has since eliminated almost all of them, and can hit anything in Ukraine. Ukraine hasn't even put a nick in Russian air defenses, and most of Ukraine's drones and missiles are shot down. Very few get through and do damage. The Ukrainians weren't smart enough to come up with anything at all.
