This is nothing new. Russia has operated a fleet of very powerful nuclear powered ice breakers out of Murmansk. They are the only country with such mammoth beasts that can grind through the polar routes.

That`s cool! Now you can trade with Canada and the US all year via the ice route. Which is ice free in about 20 years anyways. Btw, even in 20 years it will be the other side of the globe from India.
