So what exactly do they have to show for it? You guys can’t even make your own silicon chips😂😂😂😂😂
@Slaktrax11 ай бұрын
@@brittbarlow6111 You need to pull your head out of your butt. Russia started manufacture of high quality chips while you were sleeping. Their military equipment is not only as good, in a lot of cases it's better, more durable, more reliable and doesn't need the same level of maintenance. But no doubt you are a US fan boy. One thing you should learn, never under-estimate your ''enemy''. They'd wipe the floor with the US Army in it's present state. But hey, you continue being ignorant, at least it gives you a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling.

Watching these guys reminds me of JSDF anti air artillery in action. Still very effective weapons, especially against helicopters and drones.
@garryb374 Жыл бұрын
They are reusing the 23mm guns because they have developed some airburst shells that make them rather more useful against drones. There was a BTR-82 based vehicle with two 2A7 barrels from the ZSU-23-4 Shilka, the main difference is that the 2A7 guns are water cooled and have water pipes on them so a sustained higher rate of fire can be maintained. The ZSU-23-2 uses the 2A14 barrels using the same high velocity 23 x 152mm shells.

It is reasonable to expect older weapons systems to be repurposed to automated control. The cost effectiveness is a great driving factor. Expect many places to pursue this type of modernization.

Slave multiple units to Pantsir and Tunguska-M fire control radars and you have a literal forest of anti-air guns along any approach path of low-flying targets.

The flak ammo will be great against small drones, and if it can be modified to clear out enemy infantry hiding in bushes, even better. However the 2km range and its size make it a target for ATGMs.

Great points… your view is not that wide it could be used in many scenarios, true It would not achieve things can’t do by any means one thing is for sure regardless of the conditions or situations this weapons would be force to be reckon as for this weapons was been intended to be use. Imagine this kind of weapon been position in an advantageous position it would demolish the first line of soldier or other target if use well or even on air target. Automation is another scary prospect implemented with A.I. I could see no end of use of this king of weapons.
@pj_ytmt-123 Жыл бұрын
@@vortolex The problem with line-of-sight weapons is that if you can see the enemy, the enemy can see you too. Better to use old T64s in the assault gun role (5km range, self-propelled). Flak ammo is still useful against small drones, no doubt.

usually mounted on a truck that is too light (5t or less) for the recoil (stabilizing legs could help, but rarely ever seen). 10 to 25 ton trucks fair better, but still should use stabilizers, tracked armored vehicles are best

@@YaMomsOyster What a waste. If the sights are on target, only the first 2 rounds make it near the target, the others go well over.. Now the Bulgarian manufacture loves this.. the guy that puts this in the back of the truck.. now the guy that mounts this into the truck bed, needs to be found and summarily shot in-front of the shop works as a insidious traitor. Most of MIC management needs this treatment also.. anything bigger than a M249 will rock a HiLux as it really is a half ton truck.
