Russia can offer Africa with energy (oil, gas), food/fertilizer, weaponry (good enough but very affordable). China can in turn offer Africa with technology, capital, consumer goods, machinery, even green techs. Western countries still have an edge in: airplane (airbus/boeing), entertainment (hollywood), medicine; but their offerings are less and less by the day. In the medium future, China produces enough C919, C929, C939.

The implosion of American 'soft power' in Africa. What does America have to offer these nations, besides weapons? Russia is just doing better, and China does not attach strings due to the old canary song of human rights abuses.
