So actualy it doesn't make any sense how could it be always serbian or yugoslavian, when never has the majority within Kosovo been of slavic ancestry. Some serbs may justify Kosovo as theirs by saying that they thought a battle against the ottoman empire in the Battle of Kosovo in the 14th century. But they always forget the mention that within the Serbian army there were also albanians fighting against the invasive turks and they also always tend to forget that the armies of the north (Poland, Hungary etc.) came to help serbia, and they stil lost it. I usualy don't bother with ultra-nationalist serbs, but when it comes to Kosovoa, its independence was deserved, the Albanians have always demanded independence and they have always suffered under the Yugoslav authorities.

Zee Utuber : hahahahahaha! Where did you hear THAT? Krushchev was neither drunk nor reckless when he ceded control of Crimea to the Ukrainian SSR. You see, during WW2, Crimea was cut off from the Moscow to Sevastopol supply line, and consequently thousands of Crimeans died of starvation. Honestly it was just bad planning by the central government, another famine. So after the war, Ukraine was still producing almost all the grain in the Soviet Union, and Krushchev dictated to the Ukrainians that we were now in control of feeding these poor indigent Crimeans. In 1954, this was a huge burden for us, and we were not happy to have these added mouths to feed. But within 3 years, all of Crimea was well fed and much happier. And consequently Krushchev looked like a genius for this move. The time for anyone to complain about Ukraine owning Crimea was back in Feb. 1954, not now! We rehabilitated this poor, starving province and put it back on its feet. Now of course, its a gem that everyone wants. But who actually DESERVES to own Crimea? The country with the legal title to it, of course.............and that's Ukraine! This history lesson was brought to you by a former Soviet citizen, now a Ukrainian citizen, who actually knows the history better than anyone..............because I lived it.

There is an universal principle in international law, in regard to the right of people to secede wherever the circumstances of the host country change dramatically. In Ukraine was set on fire by a coup, who changed its constitutional order. Pravy Sektor and Svodoba were full legalized ( they are openly nazi formations ). The Party of Regions ( Yanukovich party ) was outlawed. Its representative were ostracized and persecuted ( a bunch of them just killed on the streets ). Also, Crimea did try since '92 to secede from Ukraine, just after the collapse of the URSS. Get your facts straight, before posting nonsense.

FPSCabbage There is a very small chance that the U.S. will send any military help to Ukraine, as its dealing with a superpower. It's not Iraq or Afghanistan, its Russia. They have the biggest nuclear reserves in the whole world. If the U.S. were to send troops it would only escalate the situation.

Although Ukraine is not a direct member of the EU or NATO, it has the support of allies that are part of NATO like Poland, who will join Ukraine if they go to war with Russia, as Poland is a NATO country, we will be among many joining them.
