I actually leave very close to that park, and I walked there all the time, most likely while he was active too, though I think I was pretty much unaware. He only became a sort of urban legend sometime after. And I've taken a bunch of people with me on walks there too, since I know the area fairly well and I loved showing people the various places and things in it. We had a minor scare several years back, during winter, that a new "Bitsa Maniac" appeared, though it was just a coincidence of unrelated things. But the police were actually patrolling the park in their cars, and at crazy early morning hours too. I would go to work through the park, while it was still dark out, and they stopped me and checked my bag once. I reached inside a bit too enthusiastically apparently, because the policeman had to grab my arm (that was going into the bag) and go all "whoa whoa there, calm!", lol

If that was the story where some dude was completely drugged up and more or less became an uncontrollable beast who completely ignored being beaten by a baton, I didn't REALLY like that story that much due to the fact that it was much more random and depressing than something crazy and deliberate. It’s the fact they all trusted and knew him as a FRIEND. That’s so much darker and menacing because a stranger will not get me to wander through a remote place, but a friend in my CLOSE circle, why EVER would I be afraid? It’s chilling. Even then, never would my back to be to someone in a remote place even if it’s my husband. Because I want to make sure he’s safe, I’m safe, and my back is up against something sturdy. I also did grow up in the country so, different life and different cautionary gut.

To be “fair” to the Russian police. They didn’t care about him being a cop. They ignored him being missing too. It took his body being found for them to come out. So they started to investigate because a body left them no choice. They didn’t care at all that he was one of there own. Not sure if that actually makes them any better, but I figured I’d give them “credit” for how many of Alexander’s “credits” they cared about… 0

@@peacocca190 "So they started to investigate because a body left them no choice." BS.. so.. they investigate because ANOTHER body was found,?? they had a choice when there was a pregnant woman, and they threatened her.. they had a choice when there was a 13 year old boy and they threatened him... The police guy wasn't the first body they found, the only reason they had to investigate was because it was a Ex-Cop. There was plenty of reasons to investigate, like for example the guy the pregnant women and the child were able to remember... but i guess threatening a pregnant woman was not "a choice" it was forced upon them was it... seriously... they made it very clear that they have no interest in investigating, until they had no choice, because guess what, the victim was an ex cop.

@@sam-psonsmith9951 Mrballen clearly said in the story that the police still didn’t look into it when he was reported missing either. If they had cared about him being a cop they would have went looking before the jogger who found the body called about seeing something. I’m in no way defending them for this. My initial comment was a sarcastic defense of their actions. My “” were meant to signify that. Sorry if it wasn’t clear. I truly believe if they cared about him being a cop they would have looked for him when he was reported missing. Not waited a few more days for someone to report seeing something in the forest. Edit: and his was the first body.
@sam-psonsmith9951
@sam-psonsmith9951 2 жыл бұрын
@@peacocca190 they didn't care about him being missing, because they only realized he was an Ex-cop when they found the body. The big search happened after they found his body, at a time dozens of people have been missing and at least one or two people have been found dead. He just was the first one that was clearly murdered. in the area. And at first they didn't even care much about that either. only once they looked into the murder victims past they realized it was an ex-cop and then they started to actually investigate. Although they still didn't care all that much since he was an ex-cop, and not a actually cop anymore. If someone of their own force had been murdered, they would have gone on a man hunt. which they really didn't they just searched the forest for clues and more victims. Yeah i really didn't get that, i thought the quotation marks were just you quoting the video.

Chad, I relate and applaud your forcing yourself to get over certain OCD situations by subjecting yourself to them and accepting them. I’ve learned to do that over time when possible. For instance, I used to be scared of flying, then one time found myself staying at the same hotel and flying out of the same airport as the 9/11 hijackers, and then on the taxi to the airport, the plane crash verse from Alanis Morrisette song “Ironic” played right when I got in the car, and then at the airport they had to fix the plane’s computer, adjust an engine, and de-ice us twice (one of them a major, hardcore de-ice coating on the runway itself before quickly taking off). I thought, no pun intended lol, that it was so ironic, that I ended up being happy to take that flight just to test fate 😆😅🙂

There is quite enough inaccuracies in a video or some missing info. He did not killed his first victim with a hammer, he strangled him with a white plastic rope, the kind you wrap a cardboard box with a cake. And what is worse, the cops when they questioned him missed burns from a strangling on his hand, failed to trick him with informant in a cell, and after all released him. Not all his victims were his friends, most of them were, but some of them he befriended on a spot. He was described by his pals and subsequently forensics as a very good psychologist, and one of his favorite books was Carnegie "How to make friends...") Did'not played chess very often, prefered checkers, but dominated when played. Loved to drink, most of his victoms vere drunkards, thats why most missing person reports where glossed over, even the kid that survived was a druggie, a toxicomaniac. From the start to a kid attempt, victim number 20 was it or something, he did not hit all of them with something, some he got drunk near the well by a pretence of a dead dog or some other false clause, then dropped at the well alive at cold water. Victims later drowned beacause of low temperature, water curent and intoxication and was'nt suspected as a criminal act but an accident. If a person got stuck in a shaft of a well or were clinging to something, he got down and threw them further or stump fingers so they get loose and fall down.The teen that survived, did not filed a report, met Pichushkin on a street, run over to a cop and said "this guy tried to kill me", but a cop told unkept druggie orphan to fuck off. From this moment, Pichuskin saw that kid recognised him, he desided to never dump a still living person in a well. He was methodical and thought through his killings, cleaned his clothes and hammer in a forest in a instant, covered his killings as a accidents. His obsession with killing people is not fully cleared, but because of a head trauma he was challenged with writing and had a speech impediment, and was bullied for that by peers, his quiet and shy nature increased his bullying and getting beat up, and at home all love and attention was spend on his step-sister. No doubt this instances fueled his hatred and wish to exact revenge, impose his will on the world by making people suffer. "I always killed for one reason only - to live myself. When you kill - you filled with desire to live life, it inspires you" On a court session gave a lot of cold and witty remarks like: "I knew all about my acquaintances(friends), their life and fate, and a death of an unfamiliar person can barely be called a murder.. just goofing around" "Mahmud was a good lad and had every right to live. But he was my acquaintance, and so he didn't make it", "From that day soap opera "Countess Monsorro" started. I liked it very much. I needed to whack somebody by day, before it started at 20:30, so i did' not miss the start", " I had a personal approach to everyone. Like Klimov for instance, i asked him what he's intrested with. He said to quit drinking. I promise, i said, from this day you will forever stop. And he did", "Met a Maslov, and he, as always, was collecting bottles. Not to sell it, he just loved it. I've got an obsession to whack, he - to pick up bottles. A maniac like me i suppose". "Pushkov Alex...When we went to the well, he kept mumbling "i'm going to my death. to die". Thought he was funny. He was full of flat jokes like that". '"He was forcefully put in a clinic, to stop him from chasing booze. He escaped and end up in my hands. If he stayed - he would have lived. And maybe would not drink. Well, he can't drink now, does he" " I would like to donate my last word to deaf-and-dumb" "Even if we assume, that i spend a 60 years in prison, like an average human life, it will summ total a year for every murder. They give more years for a theft! And if i get killed, it can happen only once. Either way, it's a win-win for me with any sentence. And your sentence is pretty clear to me by now". Interesting tidbid: life in prison is served not in a solitary confinement, but a two person cell. Story is, that his cellmate was Nurpasha Kulaev, one of 27 terrorosts, who commited terrorist attack at Beslan elementary school in 2004, and a sole survivor among the terrorosts. So our boy Pichushkin said to him " I don't think i like you much", so Kulaev spend some weeks shitting bricks and pleading to warden to move him to another cell, which eventually they did, and only after that he was kept alone in a cell

The police not doing anything when the people went missing or reported something is no surprise to any one who is familiar with true crime cases. The mindset of the "Less Dead" comes up quite often with several of these cases. The short of it is that investigating crimes done to people who are from marginalized groups (ie, poor, LGBTQ+, a non-white ethnicity, etc.) that are seen as less valuable to society will take too many resources or not get enough attention as a news story and that it was better as a whole that the person/people died anyways (a mindset I still find disturbing). This is one of the reasons some serial killers body counts are so high and the time span is so long. It's a sickening way of thinking that still happens today.

Honestly you should watch Citizen X. Great movie, it talks about a prolific serial killer in russia and a big reason why he was successful wasn't because he was some cunning master that hid his crimes perfect, the police were incompetent every time he got caught he was a "communist party member" and let go because he couldn't possibly be a killer/child diddler. The police at the time kept trying to frame other people and intimidate and beat people into confessing to citizen x crimes like literally the only reason why he was caught is because 1 detective worked tirelessly wanting to protect children against this guy. So it doesn't surprise me when only a couple years early they couldn't even get desire to stop a guy who was touching and killing children let alone someone killing adult men without any sort of sex element.

@@The_Story_Of_Us For starters, have you been living under a rock for the past 8 years? The war didn't start a few months ago buddy. It started May 26 2014. Now again, how is he a criminal?

@@Александр-у8й6д oh so you ARE aware there’s a war happening! And yet you’re still asking me how Putin’s a criminal? Let me ask you this then; how is that I can count to your IQ on ONE HAND?

@@The_Story_Of_Us There you go, a disagreement preceded by ad hominem attacks. I doubt you can actually count that high in the first place. Just kidding of course. Down to business. Why do you think Russia invaded Ukraine? I can tell you our reason. For 8 years Donbass has been shelled by the SBU leaving 18000+ civilians dead. Then a diplomatic solution was reached, signed by Russia, Ukraine and Germany known as the Minsk accords. This was a ceasefire agreement stating that the SBU needs to stop engaging the Donbass areas. Ukraine however violated this agreement, over and over. In early 2022, the people of Donetsk and Luhansk petitioned the Russian government to intervene. Now the Americans are funding the SBU, which the US state department previously considered as gross violaters of human rights up until late 2021. The west calling Putin a criminal, is like a Serial Killer calling a police officer a murderer. Whether it's true or not, you're still the serial killer.

Wow the police are guilty too like they had many disappearing in the park, victims reporting their attacker but forced to drop it or be arrested!? Police doing whatever they had to so they didn’t have any work to do. If they acted sooner it would’ve saved lives
