More information about the video content bellow:
1. Kamchatka Krai is a federal subject (a krai) of Russia. It is geographically located in the Far East region of the country. The largest active volcano in the northern hemisphere and brown bear scooping up salmon - you can see both in Russia’s barely touched Kamchatka Peninsula. Without a doubt, this sub-Arctic, 1250km-long finger of land in the Russian Far East is one of the top places on Earth for pristine habitats and abundant wildlife, despite being covered in snow and ice most of the year.
2. Kamchatka, like much of Arctic Siberia and North America, was originally sparsely inhabited by native tribes. In the 16th century, spurred by tales of a land of fire that was rich in fish and furs, Kamchatka was claimed by Muscovite Russia. Two settlements were built by Cossacks in 1697 as fur trading posts.
3. Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is the largest city and capital of Kamchatka Krai, and home to over half of the krai's population.
4. The Pacific Plate is subducted beneath the Okhotsk plate just miles off Kamchatka's coast, and the peninsula is extremely geologically active. Two of the most powerful earthquakes ever recorded shook the peninsula in 1737 and in 1952 at 9.3 and 9.0 magnitude respectively. The latter caused a tsunami which ravaged Hawaii and even reached as far as New Zealand and Chile. In addition to these two mega-quakes, powerful earthquakes occur quite often. A 6.0 magnitude earthquake occurs roughly every 3-5 years with a 7.0 quake occurring roughly every 10-15 years.
5. Kamchatka Krai is an active volcanic zone which is home to Kluchevskaya, the largest volcano in Eurasia, and the Decade Volcanoes of Avachinsky and Koryaksky.
6. Kamchatka is the real “bear state” of the Russian Federation. According to various estimates, there are between 15,000 and 30,000 bears here. Such a high concentration of bears cannot be found anywhere else not only in Russia, but in the whole world.
7. The Valley of Geysers is a geyser field on Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia, and has the second largest concentration of geysers in the world. This six-kilometre-long basin with approximately 90 geysers and many hot springs is situated on the Kamchatka Peninsula. Temperatures have been found to be 250 °C, 500 m below the caldera ground. It is part of the Kronotsky Nature Reserve, which, in turn, is incorporated into the World Heritage Site "Volcanoes of Kamchatka". The valley is difficult to reach, with helicopters providing the only feasible means of transport.

Want 10 more? You forgot to mention that this is the birthplace of the largest crab in the world. This is the only place in the world where all species of salmon spawn. In Kamchatka, more than 300 volcanoes are 34 active, in addition to geysers, there are also many mineral sources. Kamchatka has more than 14,000 rivers, more than 100,000 lakes and waterfalls. On the peninsula, 4 settlements have the status of a city and hundreds of various other settlements throughout the peninsula. 2 cities out of 4 are military closed cities, one of them is the city of strategic missile forces and space reconnaissance, and the second is the base of atomic submarines, during the years of the USSR it was the largest base of nuclear submarines in the USSR, where more than 200 nuclear submarines were located, plus 2 more bases Nuclear submarines, which housed several dozen diesel-electric submarines. In the United States, this base was referred to as the Wasp Nest, and was even shown in the movie Resident Evil 3. A missile with a Kamchatka submarine flies to anywhere in the United States in less than 17 minutes and to Europe in 19 minutes. Time is different from the capital of Russia for 9 hours. Kamchatka is the second region from the beginning of Russia, after Chukotka. There are 25 climatic zones on the peninsula. In winter Kamchatka has a very warm climate, much warmer than in Alaska. To the USA 2.30 hours flight and 2 hours to Japan. Kamchatka has the largest rainfall, except for the poles. In Kamchatka, there is practically no thunder and lightning. By area, the region is equal to all of Japan or equal to all of California. Petropavlovsk Kamchatsky is called the city of military glory. Since during the Crimean War tried to capture the city of the British and French, but suffered defeat from inferior in the power and number of defenders of the Region. Kamchatka is the richest Fish Region in the World. Avacha Guba, which is located between two cities, is the deepest naturally closed bay in the world and the second largest. Petropavlovsk Kamchatsky served as a transshipment base for the development of Russian Alaska. And only really began to be mastered in 1960 (large-scale construction began) Until 1993, the region was closed to everyone, people could only be located here by special passes, since there were many military bases on the peninsula and the peninsula was a large reserve. In 1994, it was open to foreigners, among other things, like the entire Far East, which was also previously closed for entry. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYDPhKWKl851gZI kzbin.info/www/bejne/enTOk4SLj69gmrs kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZKpnqCaZ66oo5o kzbin.info/www/bejne/np2XnYV9mbuIsJY kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4eXZ55jadKLnbM kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZK8lIpsidVsaqc kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGrJpqmah654btE kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3yXon15bdejbLc

What brought me here is reading about why Japan is rising the issue of Kuril Island they lost after WW2. Amazingly Kamchatka’s population is only 300,000 … Wow 😯 Nice video , Thanks 👍🏻💐

The Japanese will not get anything, because this state is under the full occupation of the United States, and besides, Kamchatka is not the Kuriles, and especially not the island of Kunashir, which the Japanese hope to get. But! - They will not get this island, because they are not a sovereign state, there is no independence in the management of the country, this country is controlled from the outside, namely by the United States, which is why Russia will not give Japan an island on which American military bases may appear. And finally, study geography, as well as history, it will come in handy in life, according to statistics, 90% of Americans can't even find their country on a map, I'm not talking about the history and culture of other countries, and of course Americans don't know their own history. Americans live only in fictional fantasies about the greatness of America, about their invincibility, permissiveness, impunity, but this is not so, the time will come and you will have to pay for everything - it's just a matter of time. Good luck!

I think you need to check your "facts". Russian landmass is not larger than the moon's. Kamchatka is not the furthest Easternmost part of Russia. I've only watched the first minute of your video and now I think I will shut the sound off and enjoy the visual beauty of Kamchatka.
