USA all the way for me, especially as I love camo but to be fair, they both did look very good, cheers Alan

You can waterproof the gorka yourself and it will last forever. But nowadays people would rather have the gortex that is waterproof from the factory, and you just throw out and replace once its worn out.

Problem with surplus now is the premium cost, you can buy a new Russian suit for the same price as used us surplus jacket.

Premium cost due to what is likely shrinking supply. Lots of that stuff nowadays either gets thrown in the garbage or gets sold/given to third-world nations like Afghanistan.

@@cstgraphpads2091 I think it’s more internet influencers popularizing surplus and shops see that and drive up the price.

Jackets do look nice. I have the military gen 3 and love it, I would like to find a gen 1. But I am a fan of a pullover and the kangaroo pocket. Stay safe and keep ready brother 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🤘

Where I live we get wet snow too so need something more water proof.

Los dos son buenos pero prefiero el gorka, no trae cierres en las axilas y trae el pantalón de ventaja.

Shame the Gorka doesn’t have Goretex.

That would be cool.

Gorka is made with long cotton fiber, it's a kind of ventile. The more water it get the more the fiber expand and the mire it get waterproof. You can wax them on the shoulder for heavy rain. I prefer the Gorka to any Goretex.
