My beloved, made of coal and sulphur, how can time have altered you so? the wheeled machines are running over us and I in the fog and in the rain am sleeping by your side, fasting How need turns into history how history turns into silence what are you looking at me for, Rosa, all numb forgive me for not understanding you what is the computers say, and the numbers?"

This song is written for Roza Luxembourg, music written of Thanos Mikroutsikos. This specific concert, one of the greatest of Mitropanos' life, was held on the Odeon of Herodus Atticus, undernith the Acropolis of Athens, one of the most historical places on Greece. Mitropanos was one of the most beloved singers in Greece and still lives in the hearts of greek people. A simple person with a simple but thrilling voice. A human who sings from his heart to our hearts for love, for his motherland, for his class. Dimitris Mitropanos died the 17th of April 2012, but is still here!

What is the meaning of this song?
@melmar9994 жыл бұрын
@@billba It has political meaning. How ppl are sacrificed for justice & rights and then they're forgotten...: "PART OF LYRICS ...How the Need becomes History, how the History becomes Silence..." We all see & experience the injustice but we're unable to change it, like pawns of the powerful (systems, countries, benefits)...: "... You play me in the roulette and you loose me, in a nightmare fairy tale, voice of insect is now my voice, creeping plant is my life, you cut me & you throw me in the vacuous..." The speaking person pleeds unable to adjust in the fact that this injustice is mainly generated by financial grounds: "... Forgive me that I don't understand what the computers and the numbers are saying... " Actually, the song refers to how a thinking human being regards the manipulated reality he lives in. He implies that he prefers consciously to remain a thinking human being and preserve his logic and clarity rather than to accept the injust, inhuman situation and pretend that he doesn't understand. Dynamic music, climactic melody & strong lyrics exhale feelings of sadness, unger & big proudness.

There are only a few singers who are invited to sing in Irodio, under the Acropolis, it is a great honor and it is done only during the summer. It is a unique moment in the life of any artist to sing there, that is why everybody is so emotional, including the artist, who is like a legend for us, all our live and kisses to our friend Russia!!!
