Russian motion verbs with prefixes - глаголы движения с приставками

Studying Russian prefixes with verbs can be confusing, as they work a little like phrasal verbs in English, so it is one of the challenges of the Russian language. But if you pay special attention to them little by little you will master them! So let's get to it!

!!! the prefix недо- is not actually very common for motion verbs, we should use the negative particle не and the prefix до-, for example не доходить, не добегать etc.

we are glad our video helps! ;) p.s. just do not use the prefix недо- with motion verbs, it was our mistake, just use the negative particle не and the prefix до- in the meaning mentioned in the video

At 3:09 you saying its in perfective imperfective pair. But I think you mean to say. Unidirectional- multidirectional pair. Идти - ходить are uni multidirectional pair. Not Perfective imperfective. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I have had a passing interest in Russian language for decades now. But never could figure out how the speakers sort out the pronunciation of pairs like khajich and vkhajich. It is very difficult to make them sound different. If the difference is crucial, I would not be able to communicate it. How do the native speakers do it? Can you make out which one your friend is saying, at the other end of a phone?

Guïem Haielle й its called "и краткое" and its used after vowels. It does look like an accent yes, but this "й" its considered a full letter. Some examples: гласной, красивый, тайна, пойти
