Russia has made significant progress in the Kursk region and has recaptured Snagost and the surrounding villages plus other settlements in the area. The Ukrainian forces have lost control on the entire Western flank in the Kursk region. ISW however, paints a brighter picture for the Ukrainian Forces even though it doesn't necessarily correspond with the reality outlined on the maps.

Ukraine is a "ship and scrap" operation to use up the vast supply of obsolete and/or expired weapons held by both sides. Simply put: the "threat of war" must be continual in order to justify the MIC. That is why we have companies such as RAND Corp. War: made at RAND in Santa Monica CA... sold to the public via Hollywood. The 1990's movie "Wag the Dog" was fairly accurate.

@itisastory8759, the biggest reason for different titles is the fact, that the speed is the essential thing in the Ukrainian military operations, because the Ukrainian firepower is weaker than the Russian one. When the Ukrainian attack will succeed, the Ukrainians will capture a lot of land quickly. This happened in Kahrkiv area in September 2022 and in Kursk in August 2024. In Russia's case the advancing is usually much slower. Near Pokrovsk the Russians got ahead a couple times relatively quickly a few days ago, because the Ukrainian new brigades were put to wrong places. Glory to Ukraine ! Glory to the heroes !

Yes, I saw some videos with captured Ukrainians on Telegram. One was even taken straight off the street and captured in the Kursk region within 14 days. Other videos showed the soldiers giving up and preferring to go into captivity. Without a single shot or sign of a fight.

As a russian i would say that it wasn't intentional but it played out this way. Our high command was always afraid of ukrainians pushing into Belgorod(a neighboring oblast to Kursk) and it had a lot more of the russian army units stationed there than Kursk because ukraine already tried multiple times to enter Belgorod oblast but their advances were minor and they usually ran away or faced the consequences of being on the Russian playing field. But the Kursk offensive was mostly unexpected and thats why there wasn't a lot of military personnel presentl except for the border guards

Thank you for this information video. Frankly the lack of objectivity or propaganda is of an unmatched level. I think that many feelings are mixed but especially panic coming from Ukrainians and Westerners after all the financial and military means implemented to put Russia in difficulty. The Russian people are admirable in strength and resilience.
