Moy is a possessive pronoun that we also need to take a look at :) They agree in gender and number. Moy, moya, moye, moi.

The respectful plural for a singlular person on just meeting, I wonder if the goes back to the idea of a person representing their family group? 🤔

That’s a good guess but I can’t find any historical references to this possibility. This is an excerpt from the Wikipedia-Ты (pronounced "tee") is how you say "you" to a friend or family member. Russians are more formal than Americans, so if in doubt use Вы! Вы is also "you plural" or "you all." In other words, you address a superior person as if he or she were several people. Hope this helps! Thank you for watching!!! 🥰🐈❤️💖

It's fascinating! I'm interested because ages ago when I was just about 4 or less, we moved to a place in up state New York where there was a Russian immigrant farming and dairy community in the early 1960s. My mother was a nurse who got called out for just about everything and had to bring me along. Strangely, that's also where I learned to adore cats! 😆

Spasibo vam bolshoye Lilian 🙏🙏🙏for honoring my request to learn how to say “see you soon” in Russian. I have a Ukrainian friend who is learning English and I’m learning Russian so we teach each other. We are like 2 clowns with language problems so when I say goodbye to her, I now know what to say, thanks to you! 🫶🫶🫶 Maybe you can make a video on how we say goodbye to our friends. - Jaime

Jaime, you are very welcome! That was a great idea 🥰 There is a video on the channel with greetings and goodbyes. Here is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqKzXnikqa-Ba7c It's so wonderful that you and your friend are teaching each other English and Russian, respectively. Keep me posted on your progress!

@@RussianwithPumaMessi I will certainly check out the link you provided. We are getting better at trying to talk to each other but it is comical when we miscommunicate and use the wrong words 😆😆😆
