Even with hugely inflated energy prices, Russia’s economy is forecast to have shrunk by 5% in 2022 and will continue to decline in 2023 - energy prices are already falling from their highs so price gouging isn’t going to continue to benefit them, it’s looking like the country will be even more destitute in a few years than it was before the war started

@ekaterinalokshina2043
@ekaterinalokshina2043 Жыл бұрын
@@eldorbekmakhmudov2623 There is a chance that the heavy industries would start resurrecting. The country's industry was totally ruined and looted dry in the 90s. However, after the last large bunch of sunctions in 2014 the agriculture went on the rise (mostly due to the competition removal) So there is a chance for the industries as well. Though it won't be easy.

@@ekaterinalokshina2043 Qiute a good example of how sanctions have become a foundation for Russian agriculture to rise. But in term of new technologies in heavy industries it makes no sense. As long as Russia is restricted in getting new technologies, it will face a lot of hardship to resuurect the sphere. However, Russia is a close friend to China. China can help with it.

@@eldorbekmakhmudov2623 Well, my dad used to run the largest production of caesium in the world. It was a tiny factory in a small settlement up north. He created the technology and implemented it. They also were making other alkali metals, their pure compounds, as well as crystals for high tech gadgets. I would not say that Russian R&D is in a good place now, and of course, an unbelievable damage was done to the industry when the USSR collapsed and the country was looted, when highly skilled men died out because of what was going around them. Of course, the education system has gone downhill. But it doesn't mean that it can't be brought up to standard again if it becomes the government's priority. It will be more difficult than the agriculture. Yet, it was done before.

The list of banned products is designed to maximise the negative impact of the sanctions on the Russian economy while limiting the consequences for EU businesses and citizens. In recent years, from American products, I have seen, perhaps, tabasco sauces. And dr pepper lemonade. Almost everything that you see on these shelves is produced in Russia, either at factories owned by Western corporations or under license. And Western corporations, by agreement, cannot simply take and stop production. This is the food industry, critical infrastructure. By law, such a plant is simply nationalized. Therefore, corporations either sell their production to local ones or continue to work.

Так многие из товаров под иностранными марками в России и производят. И вообще основа-это российские товары. Неужели там "на западе" думали, что мы у них еду покупаем? Везем окорочка куриные из США, картошку из Испании?
