I saw almost all my Russian friends in Finland at rallies in support of Ukraine. Other Russian friends in Austria collected humanitarian aid. Because Russians who have been in much freer European countries understand more what is wrong with modern Russia. They disgusted by the established regime. Therefore, it is ridiculous to think that the anthem of Ukraine should annoy the already pro-Western Russians who hate Putin. On the contrary, it warms our soul. This is an expression of support for the country and the people at this terrible time. It's a gesture that shows that people do care. This is very human and inspires faith and hope. Because for Russians, this is not Russia's war against Ukraine, it is a fight against the tyranny of the Putin regime. This is a battle against everything disgusting that he is: abomination, deception, corruption, unscrupulousness, hypocrisy, misanthropy. Many are mistaken in thinking that Putin's regime is the regime of the Nazis. Or that it is the regime of the Italian fascists. Or that it's some kind of racism or chauvinism. No, it's not like that. Putin's regime is not even pro-Russian. That's why every sane person is against it, especially Russians and Ukranians. Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦

As a Russian I hope Finland will check how some very close to Putin persons got their citizenships and how they use it. Because it makes them feel that they can do whatever they want with Russia, Ukraine. Steal money from Russia, Ukraine leave ruins they made. Move and live happily in Finland. I understand that it could be profitable for some of Finnish citizens to get a part of these stolen money but we also should admit that this politics gone too far. If Putin's system wasn't so corrupted, if Russians would believe in reasons to fight, Putin would go further after Ukraine, even to Moldova and other countries making this sitution worse maybe causing big devastating war. We would all suffer much more. Maybe it is better to point out those who had deal with Putin. Polititians who legitimized Putin every single time after "elections". As always there is no easy way out of the situation we are in. But we need at least to take some important steps. Not just ban Russians from EU since there is no democracy in Russia. I'm sure that in that way they shift your attention to some meaningless things from people who are close to power to some regulars who does not have any power. Get rid of Putin's network of agents in Europe. It would be great to expose Putin's offshore money. Stop provide equipment for riot police. Also almost huge amount of money Putin have, he got from EU, not from Russians. 87 billions of Euro from the EU since February 24th. For the resources that goes through a pipe through the same Ukraine! In the end, I have a feel that nowadays Russia is not like Germany from the WWII. It is much more Germany from the WWI. I afraid if people in any country will allow populist take the power or wact according to emotions from propaganda, not reason, it will cause revanchism and history could repeat itself again. But it is obvious. Putin will lose. Humanity should win. Thank you, Finland for adequate and humane policy and support in this fight 🇫🇮 Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦

Finland has given about €100m in aid and weapons and spent an extra €2bn on its own military this year. Estonia at 1/4 the pop and 1/5 the GDP has given about €300m. However, Estonia is getting back about $130m in US Foreign Military Funding and about €150m from EU's European Peace Facility. And good for them! But Finland, not yet in NATO and a net payer in EU, simply has to have this priority right now. We are keeping artillery shells and rifle ammo flowing to Ukraine. Lapua is reportedly working three shifts, at full production volume...
@anomymouse50432 жыл бұрын
@@yksvaan1690 First: I was not aware of Estonia getting significant money from EU and US. They do naturally deserve it, as they are clearly high on Putin's list of planned genocides. Second: It is brilliant that Lapua is doing three shifts. Third, we indeed spent quite some money on fighter planes. Still I would urge our politicians to do more. Even if Russia would win something in this war, it would seriously have to collect itself, before attacking, say Estonia, Finland or Georgia. So we could play this in a risky manner. Other ways to help: What if our professional military people would take couple of months vacations in Ukraine? They could give a helping hand to Ukraine people and return to Finland with first hand knowledge on what is required to fight Russia. Same would go for all Eastern European countries. Yet another way to help: It seems that only Western countries are worried about the escalation of the war. Is it so that Kremlin leaders and Russia would go unharmed in all escalations. War should be openly escalated to Russian soil. Russia has clearly shown that it is OK to target power plants in this war. So power plants should go boom also in Russia. Preferably for mysterious reasons. Stay strong Ukraine!

The Soviets really were inconsistent in their foreign policy in WW2. And the following Continuation War. Present Ukraine "special Operation" is starting to look like the continuation war with Soviets losing territory all over again. @jounisuninen2 жыл бұрын
@@Святослав-анти-Тарас And of course Russia has forgotten that Leningrad factories produced the weapons that were used to kill Finnish civilians in 1939-40. Finland had all the reasons to participate in the Leningrad siege but unfortunately our Marshall Mannerheim did not allow it. By August 1941, the Finns advanced to within 20 km of the northern suburbs of Leningrad at the 1939 Finnish-Soviet border. Finnish forces crossed the pre-Winter War border on the Karelian Isthmus by eliminating Soviet salients at Beloostrov and Kirjasalo, thus straightening the front line so that it ran roughly along the old Russo/Finnish border. Finnish troops had earlier in August 1941 received orders to halt the advance after reaching their goals, some of which lay a bit beyond the pre-Winter War border. After reaching their respective goals, Finnish troops halted their advance and started moving troops to East Karelia. That meant no Leningrad siege ever materialized from the Finnish side. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Leningrad I recommend to look at this map: Map showing the Axis encirclement of Leningrad en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Leningrad_Siege_May_1942_-_January_1943.png Then look at the other map which shows the Finnish border which was agreed in the Tartu 1920 peace treaty: sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FFinland%25E2%2580%2593Russia_border&psig=AOvVaw2HgkycZrk2rKMzMckxKbkI&ust=1617469884906000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CAIQjRxqFwoTCJjUgYGH4O8CFQAAAAAdAAAAABAM Comparing these two maps you can see that Finnish troops stopped approximately at the border of the Tartu 1920 peace treaty. So Finland only took back the part of Carelian Isthmus which USSR had stolen in the Winter War.

We are all standing with the Ukraine, (the majority) and are hoping for a diplomatic end to what is happening. As much as some people, especially in the USA, are politicizing the gas price increases caused by this war to stir trouble for the current president, most with a brain know that the inflated prices for gas, petroleum products, etc...are due to Russia's illegal entry into the Ukraine. Blessings to the Ukrainian people and those Russians who are fleeing Russia to avoid being sent to the front as well as those of us who are paying the price for these actions which were unprovoked. Russia, in its arrogance, is going back in time and Putin can call himself whatever he wants but he is, in the end, no different from the autocrats who were the czars. At least the czars/czarinas had the best interest of their country in mind, though they might have been flawed. Putin only has himself in mind and has transported Russia back in time....indeed, as far as rights are concerned, might even be worse as he will, I feel, in his arrogance, use nuclear weapons knowing the world and especially his own people will be those most affected by that action.
