6:14am and a beautiful pink 🌅 over the lake, I'm going outside soon. Episode 4 of "Paul the Not-So-Horrible Pauk" ... he's still on the ceiling! 🕷 Poor critter, I just want to take him outside 🙄 Yesterday evening there was a snake 1m (3 ft) away from our pet goat, on the verandah. My husband saw it from the kitchen window. There are so many snakes here🐍but that is just life in Oz. Could be worse, it could be a 🐊 staring at our 🐐(but there are none in our area 🙏)! Have a wonderful day everyone and thank you Nastya for a well-paced lesson with good explanations. 🤗💐🍎

Sometimes I really hate the UK because it's generally wet and cold but it does have the advantage of very few dangerous animals. Maybe the odd adder in the grass extremely rarely! 👍🙂

@@Russianlanguage Благодарю Вас за ответ и вопрос! The short answer is that English and Welsh are very different, although both are of Indo European origin. If you wish for a longer answer; read on! The origins of English are Germanic, brought to Britain by Saxon settlers in 5th century A.D. Old English even had cases!!🤣 The Norman invasion in 1066 influenced English too. Welsh can trace it's roots back to an indo European Celtic language spoken throughout the British Isles and NW France before the Roman conquest in 55 B.C.. Modern Welsh, Breton and Cornish all descend from a branch of this Celtic language, Brythonic, and are closely related. In Welsh we still have Latin loanwords from this period, e.g., ffenest "window"; aur "gold"; pobl "people"; trist "sad"; pont "bridge" The Celtic languages have all been pushed to the West by subsequent invasions/migrations. Although England invaded Wales in the 12th century, Welsh continued to be spoken and only came under threat in the 19th and 20th century, when the British government tried to extinguish other languages from Britain in the name of progress. Schools taught only in English; children were beaten for speaking their mother tongue, etc. These policies were all thankfully reversed in the last half of the 20th century. Now most schools, government literature, road signs etc. are bilingual, and Welsh culture and language are now promoted vigorously throughout Wales! Irish, Scots Gaelic and Manx all derive from the other branch of the Celtic language family, Goidelic. When I first began to study the Russian language, I noticed some words that appear similar to some in Welsh. E.g.. ночь -- nos небо -- nef ( pronounced "nev" ) моря -- mor мёд -- mèl Дерево -- derw (pronounced like "deroo"!🤣. Refers to an oak tree specifically though.) All from common Indo-European roots, I would imagine! Welsh is only my second language, sadly. Sorry for the mini- essay, Nastya. As with anything relating to languages or linguistics, it's a complicated and absorbing subject. My apologies, and thank you for your time and dedication to teaching Russian. I appreciate it so much. 🙏❤

@18:12 "To grab a taxi" ... we do say this in Australia too. Sometimes we say "To take a taxi." Rick is listening to your video Nastya as we search for Paul, while our guests are watching a movie. Rick commented: "We say 'to grab a taxi' more often than 'to take a taxi'. Tell Nastya we say it this way." Rick likes your videos Nastya 😊 Btw, it is after 9-15pm and we haven't found Paul. Looking behind the bookcase with a torch, but it's too big and heavy to pull it out without taking everything off the shelves first. There's also a heavy cabinet. We think he's hiding behind it? It's still 29 degrees at half past midnight. Everyone is asleep, even the cats! But I feel as if I'm not alone ... and I'm right. There's a giant 🕷on the wall behind me. Ever noticed how bugs seem to grow huge in hot weather? Good thing I'm not concerned about spiders - however - I have two guests with arachnophobia and two other guests who feel a bit creepy if the 🕷is in the house. I've tried for 20 mins to catch this thing with a glass & a cardboard. It moves like ⚡up the wall. I sit down to study the lesson and it creeps back towards me! Some game! 😒🙄 Is it bored?!! If I chase it too much I will wake someone. It's 8 shiny beady eyes are fixed on me, it looks smug 😏 I will name it "Paul" as that reminds me of "Pauk". 🕷 Paul The Pauk. I guess I'll just have to lock it in the office and try to catch it in daylight, but spiders often hide during the day. 😖 "nayk !" Thanks in advance for the lesson Nastya! 💐🌻🌱

Hello Nastya. Thank you for these lovely lessons. Is it possible for you to add short and simple dialogues for the daily life? For example, what to say when you go to the supermarket, hotel, and so on. There some videos like that on youtube but the sentences are too long to memorize and not practical.

Emmanuel! Правильнее написать "Когда я с ним разговаривал, я сказал... Глагол "говорить" имеет форму настоящего времени (несовершенный вид), а глагол "поговорить" имеет формы будущего времени, потому что является глаголом совершенного вида. Он говорил что-то о детях He said something about children. Она говорила, что не приедет.She said she wasn't coming. можно с тобой поговорить? Can I talk to you? Поговори со мной! Talk to me! Мне не удалось поговорить с тобойI didn't get a chance to talk to you.
