I did myself the restoration of my'71 KG. Full, frame off restoration. Nothing is better than a dry sand blasting with crushed glass media. Epoxy primers cling better on the rough surface. Done properly, it lasts a lifetime.

I bought alittle pool so I can soak my hood and rear decklid maybe it will handle a door just fill it with vinegar ,

it is ok to use that method to remove surface rust in Dry climate's but if you do that in a none desert climate it will flash rust within a couple of hours if doing this method you need to be ready to use Etch primer right away after drying it.
