I have a problem. When I connect the batteries to the combiners, the batteries always lose the same amount of energy. Example: I have 6 batteries in parallel to make me a combined 600 of power, but my base is only using 80 of power, the problem is that all batteries lose 80 of power when I disconnect the primary power. How to solve this problem? My base needs 400 power to work so the batteries discharge too fast to leave the system direct and the power generated does not support recharging the batteries and maintaining power in the base.
@SpibsTV4 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t use combiners connected to the batteries, as it will cause problems as you’re experiencing. What I would do instead is separate the circuits in your base to instead be

It is meant to charge, yes. This video is was uploaded many years ago, and I am no longer active, though there may be some subtle changes I am not aware of as I no longer play the game.

@@jessenorris1672 thank you, I really appreciate your kind words. I love teaching and sharing knowledge. I had to make some choices about my life a few years ago and I chose to cut out gaming and focus on other parts of my life. My advice is go over the circuit again and make sure all the variables are correct, and also make sure you have enough excess power to charge your battery. Hope this helps

Hey bud been loving ur electrical vids. I play on Vanilla Solo n it takes many wipes most times for me to acquire the large battery. Is it possible to replace the 2 large one with small batts in ur first example by just changinging the numbers?
@SpibsTV5 жыл бұрын
Yes, these system are interchangeable with the small batteries. However, small batteries only output 10 power, and therefore are not suitable to power turrets. Only small, low power circuits can run off small batteries.
@aaronchamberlain6725 жыл бұрын
@@SpibsTV awesome yeah meant to specify that i was only going to run 6 lights and turn them into day and night cycle thanks man u rock
@SpibsTV5 жыл бұрын
@@aaronchamberlain672 No worries, happy to help :) 6 Lights does consume 12 power though, so you will fall a little short there, unless of course you build two separate circuits. Worth noting that the double battery system doesn't increase your output to 20 (using small batteries) just means you have more time overall. Hmm i may have to become a lil more aggresive when looking for the big battery then it sounds like

@@aaronchamberlain672 Personally I think small batteries need a minor buff, perhaps outputting 20 units of power, and lasting 20-25 mins.

Sounds to me there has been a mistake with your wiring to block the batteries. I would double check that you're using the correct outputs/inputs shown in this video. Additionally, be sure you've calculated your Power Draw correctly and set your electrical branches to match. If you're still having trouble, join my discord :)

Heya spibs, Just a quick question mate which one of these designs do you think would be best viable option to say run 2x turrets + 5lights .. at the same time as charging a large battery to allow the use of backup whilst nighttime is active so my lights can turnon/off but still have turrets running 24/7 . Is that actually doable ?
@SpibsTV5 жыл бұрын
A power supply that consistently delivers 80 power should be enough. Then if you don't want lights on during the day, they could be hooked up to a blocker, with a solar panel connected to the "block passthrough". A single battery setup should be find for this.

I'm a little confused about how power draw works. I want to have 3 turrets active so the 70 power draw makes the most sense. If the power source is knocked out however, how long will three turrets stay active with two large bats? Is it 20 per day, per turret?
@SpibsTV5 жыл бұрын
Each turret only requires 10 power, so you need to adjust your electrical branches for that. Batteries in Rust will output their maximum amount of power no matter what is connected, therefore, they last up to 4 hours each when fully charged. So, if both the batteries you have setup are fully charged, then you have 8 hours of runtime. (While holding a wire tool, simply look at the battery to see how much charge it has) If you still have any trouble, feel free to join the discord, you can get all the help you need there.

Very nice to see an easy learn technique for the electricity. Nice Job. With the new Electric Turrets. I feel Caves are now no longer the best place to live due to you can only use Small Generators with LowGrade. There was a glitch with the older generator giving unlimited power so need to power them up but what is your ideas of trying to live in caves or is it simply...Can't do it anymore
@SpibsTV5 жыл бұрын
Thank you, my guy :) There is only 1 or 2 caves where they are close enough to the surface to be able to have an above ground power source connected to it. However, not every map contains these caves. Caves still have they advantages, but in my opinion, base building is bland as a whole compared to what it used to be. It is what it is.

can you make 12 stacks of low grade generator and 4 large battery that works for 24 hours

Generators only accept a single stack, so you would need 12 separate generators. So in theory yes, but the circuit would be so impractical.

probably a very good video but, I just can't stand this stupid electricity thing. it was fine till they decided to make it so that the turrets need it also. It might be that I'm just stupid and can't understand the way this works or then it's just stupidly difficult. smhh :/
@SpibsTV5 жыл бұрын
Thanks haha. In my opinion, the intricacy of electricity just replaces what the build system used to be. Building bases is fairly basic now, so this has added something complicated back into the game. Not sure if the turret thing is a good choice, but time will tell. For now, we must adapt, after all, this is a survival game.
