Hi Pat, you can brush the edges with milk .. It will also make a nice golden crust!

Sorry. The Apple part is quite good. I stored the crostada in a cookie tin overnight. It was somewhat better the day following. The day it was made, the crust was horrible. Tough. I worked with a pastry chef.. I am experienced making pastry dough. Who in their right mind would use "corn meal" in pastry dough.
