What I learned building stone on walls was to give them a good wipe with a sponge and some water to remove the mortar from the rocks and smooth it all out. It sure isn’t easy, looks really nice, good job!

Great tip! did try to keep them clean (unsuccessfully) but then ended up needing to use the grinder and wire wheel to get them actually clean

Or preferably don't use river rocks at all. They've spent millions of years on the bottom soaking up water and if there are water pockets inside them the water can start to boil and expand which potentially makes them ticking shrapnel grenades.

An idea down the road maybe is to make a wood box on the outside so all you need to do is open the door from the inside. Therefore saving room in the inside. My dad had one and then at my house years ago, he helped build one or I should say he built it. It held a lot of wood and helped in the winter. :)

I really love the great work that you have done to build this cabin. While you are so fortunate being young and having this You are so smart you know even to put down tar paper

Not sure that rocks against the wood are correct in terms of the necessary reflective barrier behind a wood stove

I saw your two solar panels. With all that running water 16:43 , why don’t you put in hydro electric power? That will charge your battery 24/7. Later

Wow, all that work for that? You should have used the same as you used for the rock floor and put 'em on the walls. Lots of trouble for so little.

River stones is not really something you should use as insulation material when dealing with heat. They've been soaking up water for millions of years and one day they might actually explode if the water inside them starts to boil.
