Hi Everyone! I've missed you! ❤When I said I would be back in September I didn't mean this late in the month so I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sticking with me. This year has presented some challenges that I'm still working through but I'm back on a regular basis starting with this video on creating a relaxed and sophisticated home by combining rustic and luxe design elements. I think of all the styles you've talked about this one is definitely my favorite. I always tend to go towards the more minimalist look but this has that appeal along with the coziness I want as well. A perfect balance of the two!

So pleased to have found this. Moved with minimal finances and minimal belongings. I have a lovely little 1950s home but still stuck with previous owners decor. Been draining my brain to capture my style - rustic luxury it is :). Any advice on colours that work with choc brown sofa, my lovely wood hand crafted table made from an Indonesian door with cast iron edges. I was considering a blue accent wall with warm neutral. Would the blue be too stark? will eventually open up the blocked off fire place on the planned blue wall and use brick work rather than a wooden surround. Feel scared to go with the blue but may be overthinking. Have opted for brushed bronze so think I am on track with the rustic luxury vibe x

Congratulations on your new home! A blue accent wall will create a lot of contrast to all of the natural materials and neutral colors. The eye will be drawn right to it and it might detract from the overall look.

That's actually the light from the lamp that's making the paint look yellow. It's actually a very light gray (Crushed Ice by Sherwin Williams).
