Love it man thanks for the tips. Is there anyway to touch up the cams? It’s not an issue as far as performance but cosmetically the chipped paint on my cams drive my insane. I know I can replace them but the edges are just scuffed up and chipped if you could touch it up it would save having new cams put on.

Whats this "bow maintenance" thing your talking about? Oh right string wax once a year. I remember now.

I have been using ballistol for several years on my guns and also use it to clean my hinge releases moons and hooks makes them even smoother. But word to the wise do not use ballistol on anything that has copper on it or nickel platting if the nickel plating has cracks or chips other than that. Probably the best stuff I have used

Very good tip. Hey I watch all you videos and know you are an elite guy as I am myself. What would the chances be that you have a set of cams for an elite ritual 30? I have mods just need the cams

Nope. Not a dealer. Just an enthusiast!

AJA.... Are Silica gel packets in your bow case a good idea for these reasons?
@averagejackarchery3 жыл бұрын
I would always want to fully remove all moisture from my case and my bow before storage. The gel packets are nice for the sale of items from manufacturing, but for something going from the elements into a tight space, that's not really what they're designed for.

So I just bought a new hoyt and dont want this to happen and have seen it on my old bows... Would you suggest not putting in the case in the truck on your way back from a hunt???
@averagejackarchery3 жыл бұрын
If you do, I would strongly recommend the bow and case have the opportunity to fully dry out before storage. That's the snag with the case. The bow isnt absorptive, but the cloth and foam of a case will trap and hold moisture longer.

@@averagejackarchery cool thanks brother maybe I will just go with the bow hokder that straps to back of the truck seat...i live in NC and the humidity is insane so your vid was really spot on thanks

Cool video something I never really thought about. I’m sure you did a video on it but what is a good “ back stablizer “ that wouldn’t break me 😂
@averagejackarchery3 жыл бұрын
The snafu is never the bar, it's the knuckle. The best bang for the but knuckle and stab set is the Torx from CBE. Around $150 for front, back, and knuckle. Actually more cost effective to buy any manufacturer full setup than just the knuckle itself usually.

Once you said "Don't put your bow back into the case" "wait until it reached interior temp".... Everyone in the Class, turned and looked at me. Ha...answers a lot of rusty bolt questions, just a little embarrassed. Yes, Ballistol, Hoppe's and CLC are in the cabinet
