Rusty Broken Pruning Saw - Antique Restoration

I restore an antique pruning saw need lots of love. This pruning saw has a broken handle and a bent saw. I pulled out my restorations tools on this lost item and restored it into a useful tool again.

I don't think people really stop to realize how many different camera angles you give us. It is all edited flawlessly but it must be so time consuming to do. But I recognize that and I'm very appreciative of that level of detail in not only the craftsmanship of your project, which always look great, but also in the camera angles constantly changing, the sub-titles that tells us what is going on, and of course the light hearted humor involved. With no ads either. That's pretty impressive too. Would ruin the anonymity though of the channel. Don't know if this is your only income source, doubtful it is, but whatever your main job is, I'm sure you do that with thoughtful planning and meticulous care to the end product. Bravo to you sir. No sarcasm either, I mean it. Excellent work all around.

Really brought this one back to life, well done. You could consider staining and sealing the handle, then craving the vine motif and staining with a different color

My son and l were at a flea market , l found a large folding saw , ( stuck closed), with this weird orange handle, it was $5 so l picked it up , my son asked, Why is it orange ? The man replied ,so you can find it if you drop it in the woods ! It had a post it note saying Grandpa's bone saw. Stripped the orange paint off , and the handle was an antler, must have been a huge deer ? Great work on this, always great to see a new generation using tools from the last.

Nice detail on the handle. I wouldn't call that tool a saw. Blade sharpened on one side. Not set in the teeth. I'd call it a serrated blade knife.

Half of the blade became nonusable through that attatchment that thickens the blade. If you saw with that thing, then that part will not fit into the sawing groove. If you made it round, it would fill its purpose and the blade would still be fully functional. Kind of seems a cheap job made too rushingly.
