The way the final part rises gives you an optimistic feeling of victory/justice just to get abruptly cut, is genius. It reminds me of how society "works" for the unprivileged, just when you think you're finally going through, a cold slash of reality is the only thing you need to be down again, this reality can be a lot of things, money, race, gender, etc. This is what I get at least.

I walked along the no mans road when they sent me down the line I wondered 'round from town to town, just another roving sign I've seen the faces passing by, avoid my eyes of shame a fire's hatred for nothing is sacred, I will make them feel my pain But for all the time it takes for the hollow men to cave nothing can be done, no one will be saved by and by they're laughing around me, the vile surrounds me I'll be dancing when they lower them down they mock us with kindness, the weak and the mindless keep my eyes focused on the ground I see the joy they all display and wish it all away I pray the brightness in their eyes replaces all with grey But for all the time it takes for the hollow men to cave nothing can be done, no one will be saved by and by For the lost and depraved, and uncleaned and unshaved and unnamed and forgotten, unwanted and rotten our day will come when glory calls, when all of those fulfilled will fall But all the time it takes for the hollow men to cave nothing can be done, no one will be saved
