This song has quite a strange effect on me - it's completely different to what I usually listen to and I have no idea how I found it, but I'm so glad I did. The melancholy lyrics hit me hard, and it makes me feel somewhat worse. But at the same time, it gives words to things I can't describe myself and it makes me so damn happy. I really appreciate this song. Anyone else?
@gwenhwyfar36906 жыл бұрын
This song has a somewhat bittersweet optimistic in it. First time listening to it I shed a few tears, because it sounds so damn sincere. It's not the typical love song. It's not about "how wonderful everything is with you and I would do anything for you, because I love you so much" Neither it's just about a broken heart.
@finlex52815 жыл бұрын
actually I think it's because the song is good
@MadMax224 жыл бұрын
@@gwenhwyfar3690 I think it's about the lengths he as a guy will go towards to keep a love that should fail. It starts off with the self critcism and despair that we've probably felt in the past before going into the chorus which is covered in major cords and bombastic sounds which just supports the words he's using in that part. "But I will do it for her if shed do it for me." He's giving into the whole game of love. Knowing how terrible it is but as a man he fights for it. Or I'm completely wrong. You decide.

Lyrics: I said I'm gonna spend my time alone cause it ain't worth trying to find that lover's soul I said it's better searching in myself cause I couldn't give away my love, or spend the time with anybody else but oh sometimes I believe I can make the change oh lord are you feeling the same way I said I better change my sinking thoughts Before they pull me under to drown out everything I’ve got And yet I find comfort in despair Cause I’ve wallowed in it far too long, when things go wrong It feels good not to care And oh, sometimes I believe I can make the change Good God, are you feeling the same way Cause I would do it for her, if she’d do it for me If this is where we ought to be I'm only a man, my sins of pride are swallowed down here by your side Instead I’m gonna praise my stubborn heart But I feel like dying, and I know I’m only at the start And as the days go passing by Well that window begins to close, and so it shows When months turn into years, well I try And oh, I believe I can make the change Good God, are you feeling the same way I would do it for her, if she’d do it for me If this is where we ought to be I am only a man, my sins of pride are swallowed down here by your side If all should fail, so often does Of lack of passion and lack of trust But I would do it for her if she’d do it for me If this is where we ought to be. You are truly an artist who is WAY too fucking underrated. Yea, you make some funny offensive(and still genuinely good) songs, but your talent truly shines when you're writing from your heart. And goddamn if it doesn't deserve so much more recognition. I've listened to you for years and this last year specifically your music has really helped get me through some shit times. From one broken soul to another, thanks for all the years, hard work and 2nd hand therapy.

People comment that this will be appreciated more one day, or this deserves more attention. It's said to say that it will be appreciated more one day, when you've passed. Don't get me wrong Rusty, I love your music and i've been a fan since the beginning. It's just a pattern, when an artist dies, their music is loved so much more, because there will never be more. Sad thought to carry
