I've been watching for a long time. I've learned the Mallerie is incredible beautiful and she's hilarious. I've also learned that I wished I looked like you in a tank top.... and my last learning!!! You have become a bus restorer not a dude trying to figure shit out. Well done, proud of the beautiful bus people 😊

It is a high quality restore job video with much of your passion to restore 1973 VW bus as usual, each one of all of your videos has been put many works on it. Most of famous youtubers would divide into two or three videos instead. So you do not have to worry about your upload time for all of your videos. I enjoy all of your videos and watched them repeatedly. Please take your time to keep your good passion for restoring the VW bus of yours. Thank you for all your efforts for the videos.

Hi, I did the same job last week. In Germany you get the floorpanels in the original thickness of 1mm. To weld these large panels, I recommend to make only one hole not a double hole to fix it at the crossmembers. It would be also better, to start welding different spots in every line, because if you start at one side of the panel, finish that line and go to the next, the panel will be sure not in shape after that. My video about that will be ready next week. Best regards from Germany, Ralph

Great job. Maybe using some wood you could hammer the floor panels up from underneath as they have sagged due to their welding to cross members ... or it's just a photo making it look that way

As far as rustproofing is concerned, Waxoyl was pretty much the only option for the DIY'er but these days you can get much better products such as Bilt Hamber for spraying into cavities and doing the underbody. Dinitrol is another good product btw, along with Lanoguard. Plus of course, treating bare surfaces with weld-thru primer and a coat of zinc-rich paint will go a long way to stopping tinworm from getting a hold.

The last 30 sec were the best part. Jaa jk. Looks like the rust police ignored the rust on the crossmembers my friend.😊 great videos as always. Releasing them twice a week is a ton of work. I struggle with that and trying to get my bus rolling before I have to go back to work. Hoping to finish the major suspension work done so I can leave any small work for when I have less time. School and work is gonna take all my free time. Catch you on the next video. 🎉

Great work . Just started the patch welding on the floor of my '71 and it is a pain in the A$$. Thank you for all the great content. It has helped me get started and I am looking to buy my first welder as I was borrowing the one (Flux) that I practiced on. Looking at getting a small MIG that will go down to 20 gauge. Any recommendations? Oh also, how can I get some stickers?
@Vangabonders Жыл бұрын
Send us an email vangabonders@gmail.com as for the welder I use a Lincoln Mig140 but I’ve heard good things about the harbor freight version of it. As long as you can use shielding gas you should be set
