Heeyy Lloyd, see I got the content out as promised, though with 4 months delay.. apparently the last 10% of work takes 50% of the time, who knew :) Thanks for watching and good luck with your Honda nuggets!

This is how you FIX Not just service items Or Minor bolt on repairs If people embraced fixed, took time to learn or had the motivation to pay someone not only will there be more jobs, but more cars saved. Not to mention less pollution. less personal debt, less unproductive time and less need to buy new.

I love this! Watched the first video and now this 2nd one. I've seen worse rusted cars being repaired. This car would have been scrapped by many but only few take on this type of job. Thanks for saving a Honda :)

This is a really nice change of pace compared to the usual KZbin car builds I'm sick of seeing. Really appreciate your hard work this far to save this old CRX.

The Molasses works good. My brother got a cheap swimming pool and a 200l drum of it from a stock food place. Dunked the whole body shell in. It did half the car then turned it over to do the rest.
@sidney95342 жыл бұрын
In my case the result was a bit meh. I didn't put in high enough concentration.
@GSimpsonOAM2 жыл бұрын
@@sidney9534 It needs to be approx 9:1 water to molasses. Takes 2-3 weeks. Farmlands sell 25kg for $68. The crude stock feed type is better than the more refined version from the supermarket but I have raided the wife's stock for small jobs.
@sidney95342 жыл бұрын
@@GSimpsonOAM Yeah, I put in way less because it's silly expensive here. Should have checked the farmer stores like you.

What didn't you like about the "epoxy" paint?
@sidney95342 жыл бұрын
It never fully dried, ended up wrinkly like a ballsack, and peeled off easily. Wouldn't even paint a fence with it next time. I ended up grinding it off and using a real automotive 2k epoxy, and that turned out great. Absolutely bulletproof, no wonder everyone likes it.

Hey sup Nice videos by the way 👍 do you know if the CRX MK 1 with the 1.6 L engine is VTEC?
@sidney9534 Жыл бұрын
Thanks m8! So 99% the 1.6 engine is the ZC (same as mine), so no Vtec. But there was a SiR version with the early B16, and that has it. But it's a unicorn, so won't probably find that.

Man love the channel just found it great job on the crx. But you gotta stop welding galvanized steel very dangerous not good for your health
@sidney95342 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's true, I should probably put a warning somewhere. It was windy most of the time and I avoided breathing that stuff in, but a respirator would have been best. And not only galvanized, basically all welding fumes are dangerous, even the smokeless stuff like TIG.

Where'd you get the large piece of metal for the pinch weld? Around 5:54
@sidney95342 жыл бұрын
Well spotted - it's a piece of some construction profile I found in the local scrapyard, I'm guessing metal deck for concrete casting. I noticed it's got the same shape as CRX sills :D And it's slightly thicker than original metal, so that helps with safety a bit. These old cars are so thin and soft..
