Cool video. I really like the occasional short project. There's something satisfying about a quick, high-quality restoration. The longer videos may be more engrossing, and it's fun to watch a long, complicated restore. However, I don't always have TIME, for a longer video, so the occasional quick project is a worthwhile endeavor. Thanks again for the videos, Ty! They always brighten my day!

@@Zafo24pl actually, I was thinking it would be cool to see, maybe once every couple of months, a special video with all the processes involved in keeping the tons of tiny parts catalogued and stored while the process continues on larger parts of a project. I would make time to watch a 2 or 3hr vid a couple times a year, that showed how he keeps everything so organized and perfect. It could include a bit of insight into his research on new items and materials. We all have our own methods, but I would watch this happen here, from time to time. 👊😎

A handy tip if you ever need to clean rubber/rubber rollers again: Eucalyptus oil, it's great at cleaning rubber and often gets it like new again. I learned this during my days as a photocopier service technician when we would need to clean the rubber rollers. (Just make sure not to use it on very soft rubber, as it would likely melt it.)

Do you put fresh plastic down every time you paint? Save yourself some money and just reuse it. We don’t mind if there is old overspray on it. I watch for your amazing restorations, not your clean backdrop.
@oriaaane4 жыл бұрын
I appreciate your sentiment. But honestly that much plastic doesn't make a difference. You should see the amount of waste that comes out of a single 30 minute surgery in a small rural hospital. About a months worth of my own waste. Made me realize the true scale of waste, it's horrific.

Finally fixed the bench grider. Good. Also, that resto is pretty neat. I thought you'd have to change all the rubber parts tho. They seemed cracked. Ever thought sometimes, of just clearing the parts instead of painting them, to keep them "on metal"? Clearing them should be enough to protect them from rusting, no?
