It works but there is no need to put it in water, just make it wet, use brushes and soap, then use a shower to clean the soap, dry it with a hair dryer, let it some days to completely dry, put the battery back and it is like new.

I think that was the worst PC upgrade video I've ever seen. It doesn't matter where the guy is from, Ohio, Columbia, South Africa or China...it was just a stupid attempt at a funny video. I was expecting a meaningful upgrade from the cleaning of the case itself, through its improvement with a transparent side panel, some extra fan, a better older Intel processor, possibly a 2.5" SSD and, for example, RX580 or RTX2060 graphics, etc. and not RX6800 for nothing. This video will certainly please me the author did not say about the subscription, on the contrary.

clean thermal paste using a good qulity fiber cloth its better and faster. and also if you placed a thermal paste to a cpu you can put a fan after put a thermal paste you dont need to smooth thermal paste according to CPU

Si se puede, pero hay un par de cosas a tener en cuenta. La primera es que todos los capacitores deben estar descargados completamente, para evitar que produscan un corto y quemen algo, por eso rara vez vas a ver que hagan eso con una fuente. La segunda es que lo ideal seria sacar un poco el exceso de polvo antes de sumergirla, no como hace este bruto en el video. Lo tercero es que una vez limpio hay que dejar que todo seque completamente. Lo recomendable al hacer una limpieza de este estilo con agua, es dejar toda la tarde secando minimo, y hasta te diria que mas dependiendo de las condiciones climaticas. En un clima seco se evaporara el agua enseguida, un par de horas. Pero en clima muy humedo te puede tardar todo un dia. Yo sinceramente no recomiendo limpiar asi la pc, a menos que este extremadamente sucia y solo limpiaria con agua los disipadores y ventiladores, no la motherboard directamente. Ademas hay alternativas para limpiar bien si esta pegada la mugre, como el alcohol isopropilico o las latas de gases comprimidos que son justamente para eso, para limpiar componentes electronicos. Yo personalmente intento limpiar la pc cada 6 u 8 maximo 12 meses, asi no junta esa cantidad de mugre, y es facil limpiar. Lo unico que tenes que llevar al agua suele ser el disipador del cpu o la gpu, porque en las rendijas queda mugre que no sale. Los ventiladores limpio con alcohol y un trapo de tela de algodon o algo comodo para mojar con alcohol y limpiar con los dedos. Para la mother suelo usar una brocha de pelo de caballo, y sale el 98% del polvo siempre. Es cosa de no dejar 3 años sin limpiar nomas. Pero como dije, si es tu caso y tenes la pc asi de mugre como la del video. Si podes lavar con agua, pero no mojes la fuente y tomate tu tiempo para dejar que se descargue toda la pc. Tambien deja secar todo bien, antes de armar y prender. Yo esperaria a algun dia que haya poca humedad en el ambiente, asi se seca todo rapido en algunas horas. Espero te sirva, no soy experto ni nada, pero mi pc la limpio yo mismo cada 6 meses maximo un año.

@RustyDusty Unlike laptop processors where you have to cover the whole diode of it will refuse to do anything because of overheating, something like that celeron you can mash down thermal paste and as long as u evenly apply pressure you will get away with it. Great vid tho!

If I remember, the 6800xt although a very powerful, power hungry card will bottleneck the cup which can cause issues while playing so be careful. My own personal rig has a gpu bottleneck cause I build when the chip shortage was real so I had to compromise…
