Hey Rusty and Beatles Girl ! I used to think AC/DC (Angus) was just about playing easy chords and screaming bends. As I am finally learning more about the guitar myself, it amazes me that he knew exactly what he was doing. Major and Minor pentatonics and landing on the root notes of the chords ! Just shows how little I knew years ago and am finally getting my feet wet on proper ways to play melodic runs instead of doing speedy pull - offs in the same old box. You Rusty are a major part of opening my eyes. I was always intimidated of learning different positions when I played back as a 18yr old. I knew in my heart that I was really hindering my play, but I got away with it enough to have fun. Never had a paid gig back then and I'm sure that was a root cause of me stalling out. Anyway, as usual, thanks Rusty ! Take care !! Signing off ( for now). LoL. I know I tend to run off when I hit you up. PEACE

I totally agree Rusty...........learning cool solos loaded with these great individual lick ideas but then breaking these down explaining what the creating artist was considering and even taking us through the process ..........then even encouraging us to tweak these ideas into our own.............fantastic idea! David Gilmour is a patient master craftsman at creating these time and time again........even for others like Paul McCartney........to grasp some of that ultimate talent into our own.......would be awesome!! Thanks for checking out my videos! I don’t like using tabs because they do not help a player move forward in visualizing the fretboard and improvising. The breakdown in the video helps you make the notes come alive. Hope to see you soon. Thanks.👍

Awesome solo cover and performance Rusty and yes this is a great solo to learn for mixing major and minor pentatonics , Angus is a fantastic player and I believe a lot of his style is influenced by BB King and electric blues in general he was a big influence on my playing in my youth , when I had a stronger neck for headbanging 😂😂 anyway great job my friend 🎸👏👏🙏🏻

You surprised me with this one. shook me all night long and back in black, have a drink on me, have been a part of the play list in most of the bands I've played in. Think you should go with this, but you see a lot of people doing it. I think you should try some tunes that don't get covered, maybe something from ZZTOPS, first album, there's a lot of good blues licks there👍😎

Hi rusty want to let u no I really like ur teachings it has opened up my mind to learning more of a disciplined concept on getting better I’m basically self taught from noodling and watching friends but I’m not satisfied with what little I know I want to learn a more skilled approach technique in advancing my level of skill I would say I’m at advanced beginner stage yearning for more wisdom u have opened up this window I understand I will only go so far if I never learn the scales my question is this in the pentatonic scales in each one is the root note always the same and how do I find the root note in each scale without guitar lessons sorry probably a dumb question but I want to learn things right I’m at a guitar block stand still long comment I apologize agian love u have the book of life in ur studio thanks for everything ur a great teacher
@rustysguitar1
@rustysguitar1 Жыл бұрын
Hey Shawn, the A minor pentatonic scale has the same root note A. And the B minor pentatonic has the root note B. And so on. There are five positions for each pentatonic scale. You can find those almost anywhere on the Internet. But just stay connected. Over an A backing track, you can use the A minor pentatonic or the A major pentatonic scale. One of the most important things is learning the fretboard so you know where these notes are. Thanks for checking out my videos! Keep rocking buddy.👍
