Kudos to the whole department. Best interaction I have seen in a long time. If more departments could be as transparent as this department I think we would all get along much better in this world. Upper management or whomever took lead is impressive his patience is crazy and listened to both sides prior to doing anything. I truly think that the leadership in this department made the outcome we all saw coming and how professionally it was done, all your officers fell into line like a well oiled machine.

If you google maps Tabernacle Way, New Brunswick you can actually follow the whole procedure. The officer was going southbound on 18, merging onto Burnet St, turning right onto Tabernacle Way and then turning left onto Neilson St where the Police Department is. Fun detail if you turn right onto Robenson Blvd you can see the corner deli next to the police station has huge donut pictures on the front window.

Neither you nor your department is allowed to practice law enforcement anywhere except the city written on your uniform. "Nationally accredited" means they took a test and passed. That test granted them a file to print out that states they are super duper police officers. It means exactly zero for a local cop to be "nationally accredited".

The cop drove like an idiot, the independent witness (lady in the white SUV) was intentionally not chased and not pulled over to be identified and part of the rapport because they didn't want a credible witness. The idiot firefighter was drunk and yet felt so wronged and virtuous that he wanted to confront the reckless driving behavior, only for him to realize him he's surrounded by cops with camera's and he wants to play it down now because he's drunk and shouldn't be enforcing laws. Based on the statements made by the firefighter the cop was compelled to talk to the driving cop and his covering sergeant who likely told the drunk firefighter to just go away and forget about it. When the cop did talk to the driving cop they turned on the cams. These cops know what they're doing, some cop shops have failed or no dashcams so they can take a shop for a spin.

It was immediate retaliation, yeah he fucked up pulling in sally port but obviously the officer was driving reckless while NOT responding to a call.
